Recently, two new leaks regarding the OnePlus 16 emerged just days apart. Together, these leaks suggest a flagship device that may surpass its rivals with a substantial battery and enhanced camera hardware compared to the OnePlus 15.

So what’s the story with the cameras?

As reported by OnePlusClub on X, the OnePlus 16 is expected to introduce the brand's first 200MP main camera sensor, which would be a notable upgrade from the existing 50MP sensor.

Earlier speculations also indicated the inclusion of a 200MP periscope telephoto lens. When combined, this could represent OnePlus's most ambitious camera configuration yet. This isn't unprecedented, as other brands like Vivo with their X300 Ultra have adopted similar camera strategies.

It's important to mention, however, that OnePlus might opt to launch the OnePlus 16 with just a single 200MP main camera, potentially pairing it with two additional 50MP sensors.

What about the battery that’s been generating buzz?

Digital Chat Station, a reliable leaker, has indicated that trial production of the OnePlus 16 is underway. The device is expected to feature a dual-cell battery configuration composed of two 4,390mAh cells, resulting in a minimum total capacity of 8,780mAh.

The leaker also reported a rated energy of 33.11Wh at 7.54V, implying that the actual capacity might be closer to 9,000 mAh, especially when considering the typical marketing adjustments.

If this is accurate, it would mark the largest battery ever included in a OnePlus flagship. It’s worth noting that the recently released OnePlus Nord 6, a mid-range device launched in India, already incorporates a 9,000 mAh battery.

Charging for the OnePlus 16 is rumored to reach 100W wired, though this latest leak did not provide information on wireless charging, even as earlier speculations suggested 50W support.

Although OnePlus has announced its departure from the North American market, I remain curious about the brand’s future in its home market and a few others. It seems like the OnePlus 16 is poised to be a significant upgrade over the OnePlus 15.

Samsung announces a solution for the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s red tint issue, though it requires an in-person visit for the time being.

The in-person calibration is complimentary and can be done on the same day, but Samsung hasn't provided a timeline for the over-the-air update.

Samsung has finally addressed the reddish tint some users of the Galaxy S26 Ultra have reported appearing in the center of their screens. A notification posted on the Samsung Members app in South Korea, first noted by SamMobile, explains that the issue is related to a display calibration error rather than being a hardware flaw.

Two options are available for fixing it.

T-Mobile’s new financing plan sounds appealing until you understand what it’s really preparing you for.

T-Mobile's latest financing plan lowers upfront costs while extending payment periods, which are becoming increasingly common.

Whenever a carrier claims "no upfront cost," I prepare myself for the inevitable fine print. T-Mobile's new 36-month financing plan includes such an asterisk, although it’s presented attractively. The second largest wireless carrier in the U.S. has launched a financing option named EIP Flex 36, which extends device payments over three years instead of the typical two. The main selling point is what it allows you to bypass during checkout.

RISION’s compact cameras transform your phone into an efficient thermal imaging device.

This small $119 camera provides your phone with thermal vision capabilities.

If you've ever needed to identify heat leaks or hot wires, you may have relied on a dedicated handheld thermal camera. RISION has introduced a new compact camera tool that makes this task easier and more portable. It is reminiscent of a similar device we reviewed previously, the InfiRay.

RISION has launched the Magic and Magic Pro, two miniature thermal cameras that connect directly to compatible USB-C phones, tablets, and Windows computers. Each unit weighs just 24 grams, derives power from the linked device, and doesn't require a separate battery. It is compatible with a range of iPhones, Android devices, and Windows PCs.
