CMF has introduced its initial pair of open-ear earbuds, featuring a Smart Dial charging case that allows you to manage your music.

      CMF has entered one of the most competitive segments of the earbud market, and it's doing so with a case that stands out. The Nothing sub-brand has introduced the Clip Pro, its inaugural open-ear earbuds, crafted to allow users to remain aware of their surroundings without compromising sound quality.

      The CMF Clip Pro will be available in the US, UK, and Japan starting August 15, retailing for $99, with a broader global launch planned for September 15.

      What sets Nothing’s CMF Clip Pro earbuds apart?

      Each earbud weighs only 5.9 grams and wraps around the ear with a flexible titanium wire core, distributing pressure at three points instead of one to minimize discomfort. A 10.8mm dual magnet driver delivers sound, complemented by CMF’s Ultra Bass Technology, developed to mitigate the bass reduction commonly associated with open-ear designs.

      Four integrated microphones ensure clear calls, while a Sound Seal system, adjustable via the Nothing X app, reduces sound leakage to nearby individuals.

      The case of the Clip Pro offers more than just charging the earbuds.

      The standout feature is undoubtedly the charging case itself. CMF has incorporated a rotating Smart Dial that enables users to adjust volume, control playback, and answer calls without needing to touch their phone. This is reminiscent of a feature CMF has included in previous products, setting it apart in a market where most rival products depend solely on touch controls.

      Additionally, the Clip Pro supports Bluetooth 5.4, allows dual device pairing, includes a low latency gaming mode, and is rated IP54 for light splash resistance. If open-ear earbuds have previously required a compromise between comfort and sound quality, the Clip Pro aims to challenge that notion. Meanwhile, as Samsung reportedly works on its own open-ear Galaxy Buds, CMF's opportunity to assert its case may be brief before competitors catch up.
