Lenovo has introduced a metallic Hall effect keyboard and a 59g mouse as their newest enhancements for stylish gaming configurations.

      Magnetic gaming keyboards and lightweight mice have become fairly commonplace, but Lenovo is aiming to take both concepts further with its new Legion peripherals. The latest collection features the Legion R7 RT75 keyboard and the Legion Y7MG mouse, both of which offer an 8,000Hz polling rate for gamers seeking rapid input transmission to their PC.

      Lenovo has designed these peripherals to be bold and visually striking while maintaining practicality. The keyboard boasts a sturdy metallic build with translucent keycaps and RGB lighting, while the mouse has a more classic and subdued aesthetic, yet it is adorned with an RGB strip reminiscent of an alien spacecraft.       The R7 RT75 employs a compact 75% layout and utilizes Hall effect magnetic switches instead of TMR technology. Each key allows for adjustable actuation, rapid trigger, and sensitivity adjustments down to 0.01mm, with features like SOCD, DKS, and multi-point triggering available for gamers who prefer detailed customization of movement and key actions.

      The keyboard features a CNC-machined aluminum chassis and weighs approximately 1.49 kg, making it unlikely to shift during intense gaming sessions. Lenovo has also integrated a carbon-fiber positioning plate, a gasket-mounted design, and five layers of sound-dampening materials to enhance the typing experience and minimize unwanted noise. A 1.47-inch display is located in the top-right corner, capable of showing settings, connection information, and other details. RGB lighting accents the keys and edges, while the magnetic top cover can be removed effortlessly without tools.

      Connectivity options include USB-C, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth. The full 8,000Hz polling rate is accessible via wired and 2.4GHz connections, though Bluetooth reduces it to 125Hz. An unusually large 8,000mAh battery supports wireless functionality and compensates for the demands of the Hall effect switches, high polling rate, RGB lighting, and built-in display.

      The Legion Y7MG weighs just 59 grams despite featuring a magnesium-alloy upper shell. It is equipped with PixArt’s PAW3950 sensor, which allows for sensitivity settings of up to 42,000 DPI, and optical switches rated for 100 million clicks. The mouse also supports wired, 2.4GHz, and Bluetooth connections, with 8,000Hz polling available in wired and 2.4GHz modes. A 500mAh battery powers the mouse during wireless use.

      Both accessories are currently sold in China, with the R7 RT75 priced at CNY 1,299 (approximately $192), and the Y7MG starting at CNY 499 (around $73). Lenovo has yet to announce if either product will be made available internationally.
