      Before beginning, ensure that your device has a stable internet connection and that you have permitted camera access on your device or browser. You'll also need to remove any sunglasses, masks, or hats so that your eyes, nose, and mouth are fully visible, and make sure there are no other individuals or faces in the background. Once you’re prepared, follow these steps to activate selfie video sign-in:

      **Step 1:** Launch the Google app on your smartphone, tap on your profile icon located in the top-right corner, and choose Manage your Google Account. Sign in if prompted.

      **Step 2:** Click on the Security and sign-in option, scroll down to the “How you sign in to Google” section, and select Selfie video. If you do not see it listed, look for a “Selfie video” chip just below the list under “You can add more sign-in options.”

      **Step 3:** On the following page, tap Continue. You will see an overview of how the feature works, instructions on managing your selfies, and details on how they are processed. Tap I agree to proceed to the video selfie recording.

      **Step 4:** The next screen provides helpful tips for capturing your selfie. Follow these closely to avoid complications. Tap Next when you’re ready to take the selfie, select Start, and adhere to the on-screen instructions.

      **Step 5:** After you finish, Google will verify your selfie, which may take a few moments. Once complete, a confirmation message saying “Your selfie has been saved” will appear, along with a note indicating that you can replace or delete it anytime in your security settings. Tap OK to conclude the process.

      You will then be automatically directed to the Selfie video page within the Security and sign-in settings, where your newly taken selfie will be displayed with a verified badge, along with an option to delete it whenever you wish. If you prefer to complete the setup on a desktop, visit myaccount.google.com/video-verification and follow the same steps outlined above.

      Selfie video sign-in offers a quick and convenient way to regain access to your Google account if your password or secondary device is unavailable. The setup only takes a few minutes, and you have the flexibility to remove your selfie at any time should you choose. Note that this feature is not supported for Workspace accounts, child accounts, or accounts enrolled in the Advanced Protection Program; thus, you will not see the Selfie video options in such accounts.
