Pulsar’s Noctua-cooled gaming mouse is set to launch on July 21
More than a year after its debut at Computex 2025, the Pulsar Feinmann F01 Noctua Edition gaming mouse is finally ready for release. Sales will commence through Pulsar’s online store on July 21 at 4 p.m. KST, although the price has yet to be disclosed.
The mouse was also showcased at Computex 2026, where it appeared significantly closer to a finalized retail version. Its standout feature is the small Noctua fan integrated into the shell, designed to direct airflow towards your palm during lengthy gaming sessions.
A genuine Noctua fan is housed within the mouse
Pulsar has incorporated a Noctua NF-A4x10 5V PWM fan beneath its ventilated carbon-composite shell. The fan offers five speed settings, allowing users to regulate airflow based on their cooling preferences.
During our brief testing with the mouse, the airflow was gentle yet noticeable. It did not feel like a small desk fan blowing on your hand but instead produced a consistent breeze to mitigate the heat and moisture that can accumulate during extended gameplay. The fan was also hard to hear amidst the busy show floor; however, it may be more perceptible in a quieter environment.
Pulsar has enhanced the hardware since its initial reveal. The mouse now features an XS-2 sensor that can achieve 42,000 DPI, along with a 54L15 MCU, an 8,000Hz polling rate, and Pulsar optical switches.
The additional cooling results in increased weight
The Feinmann F01 Noctua Edition weighs around 73 grams, making it significantly heavier than the 46-gram standard model. Much of this weight increase can be attributed to the fan and extra internal components.
Even so, 73 grams is not excessive for a contemporary gaming mouse. Gamers dealing with sweaty hands may find the trade-off worthwhile. Our limited hands-on experience was insufficient to evaluate the cooling effectiveness over several hours. Nevertheless, the fan seemed more functional in practice than the specifications suggest. The standard Feinmann F01 is priced at $179, so the Noctua Edition will likely be positioned in the premium category.

AI in gaming might boost your confidence with real teammates
It turns out that losing to bots might not be all that bad after all.
Artificial intelligence is frequently cited as a factor that diminishes social interaction. Whether it's AI taking over conversations, decreasing teamwork, or making gaming feel less personal, the prevailing narrative has been consistent. However, a new study suggests the opposite could also be true. In fact, AI may be subtly encouraging individuals to spend more time with friends.
Researchers investigating PUBG: Battlegrounds found that the introduction of AI-controlled opponents in multiplayer games did not alienate players. Instead, it increased their confidence, prolonged their gaming sessions, and even motivated them to team up with friends more often. The findings, which will be published in the journal Information Systems Research, provide an intriguing perspective on how AI can enhance user experiences rather than just automate them.
