This app provides your Mac with a music player that you'll truly enjoy utilizing.
Using Apple Music on a Mac can be frustrating. Liqoria offers a solution and is compatible with Spotify and YouTube as well.
The Apple Music application on the Mac falls short of expectations. I find its design and functionality lacking, and I believe Apple could benefit from adopting some ideas from Spotify to enhance the app's modernity and usability. Until improvements are made, users have to deal with an inadequate app experience.
For this reason, I avoid the Apple Music app on my Mac and prefer third-party applications for music controls. Today, I want to highlight a new app I came across: Liqoria, which could be the only music player app you’ll ever need.
What sets Liqoria apart from other music applications?
Many third-party music player apps merely function as enhanced remote controls. They sit in the menu bar and activate the play button on Apple Music or Spotify, which offers limited functionality.
Liqoria, however, takes a different approach. It acts as a standalone music app, allowing you to perform tasks without needing to return to the original application. For instance, it enables me to play, pause, skip songs, and even search for tracks, making it convenient to find and enjoy the music I want without launching the original app.
This creates a more seamless experience, as everything can be done within Liqoria instead of switching between different apps. It also supports Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, and your browser, allowing you to control all your music from one central location.
What additional features does the app offer?
Liqoria provides various ways to manage your music. There’s a floating player that can be positioned anywhere on your desktop, a menu bar player for quick access, and a Dock player for easy control.
With the flexibility to choose the player that fits your current activity, you’re not confined to a static layout. Need full-screen mode? Use the Dock player. Relaxing with a coffee? Let the floating player take the lead.
The app includes a real-time waveform, smooth animations, and options for visual customization. It also supports animated artwork for Apple Music, although I experienced some glitches.
This may be due to running the macOS Golden Gate beta. Aside from that minor issue, Liqoria appears to be a robust music player that your Mac has been missing.

Copilot could soon assist in diagnosing problems with your PC
A new PC Insights feature will help identify what might be slowing down your computer, although Copilot itself might be one of the main culprits.
Copilot's upcoming feature will help diagnose your PC's issues, but the twist is that the assistant responsible for the diagnosis might be part of the problem. According to Windows Latest, Microsoft is testing a feature called PC Insights, which will allow you to ask the AI assistant natural language questions related to your computer’s hardware and storage rather than sifting through the Task Manager or Settings. Users will reportedly be able to ask questions such as, "Do I have enough space for a 100GB game?" and Copilot will check the available storage to provide an answer. Users will also have the opportunity to inquire about CPU usage, battery health, and more to troubleshoot problems.
What Copilot will have access to
OpenAI has removed usage limits for ChatGPT Work and Codex, at least temporarily.
The five-hour limit has been lifted, your usage counter has reset, and GPT 5.6 Sol is expected to be much lighter on your allowance.
OpenAI appears to be on a roll, continually rolling out updates. Recently, the company unveiled its GPT-5.6 Sol, Terra, and Luna models to the general public and has since introduced another update that will delight its users.
The key change is the temporary removal of the five-hour restriction in ChatGPT Work and Codex for all Plus, Business, and Pro plans. If you’ve ever found yourself in the middle of an extended work session only to have the limit message appear at the most inconvenient moment, this update is for you.
Anthropic is offering Claude Fable 5 for free for a limited time.
You can experience Claude Fable 5 without additional costs, but don’t wait too long.
Anthropic is making it easier for paying customers to try its latest AI model without incurring extra charges. The company has announced a limited-time promotion allowing users on eligible paid plans to access Claude Fable 5 at no extra cost until July 19, 2026. However, there is a caveat: the model has usage limitations, and once you reach a certain threshold, you'll need to either start paying or switch to a different Claude model.
This promotion comes amid intensifying competition in the AI assistant market. OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, and Anthropic are all vying to attract users to their latest flagship models, often utilizing free trials or promotional access for user adoption
