DuRoBo introduces its Smart Dial ePaper reader and a compact page-turning remote globally.
The Dutch ePaper brand DuRoBo has made two of its products available for purchase in the US and UK. The Krono, a 6.13-inch ePaper focus hub designed for distraction-free reading, writing, and thinking, can now be found on Amazon for $279.99.
Additionally, DuRoBo has released Moodi, a lightweight Bluetooth page-turning remote, priced at $30.99 on Amazon and the DuRoBo website. If you've been observing the growth of the e-ink device market, this pair deserves your attention.
What sets Krono apart from a conventional e-reader?
Krono features a 6.13-inch Carta 1200 ePaper display, boasting a 300 PPI resolution, an anti-glare etched screen, and an adjustable front light for comfortable reading at any time of day. Internally, it is equipped with an octa-core processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 3,950mAh battery, all while operating on Android with complete access to the Google Play Store.
The device is designed for more than just reading. Its Smart Dial allows users to scroll, turn pages, adjust brightness, and launch Spark, an AI-driven idea vault that records voice notes, transcribes them, and generates summaries. Libby AI can respond to inquiries, summarize news, and offer creative prompts, while features like a built-in browser, wireless file transfers, and compatibility with Kindle, Kobo Books, and Google Play Books enhance its functionality.
Moodi enhances the reading experience with hands-free capabilities.
DuRoBo is also unveiling Moodi, a lightweight Bluetooth remote designed to reduce thumb strain during extended reading sessions. Weighing only 18 grams, it includes six interchangeable magnetic emoji button caps and connects seamlessly with Krono for hands-free page turning. It offers three modes: Reading, Multimedia, and Browsing, making it versatile beyond e-books.
Moodi is also compatible with most Android apps that utilize volume key page turning, including Kindle and Google Play Books, and can provide up to two months of battery life with typical use. Together, these two devices create a more complete distraction-free reading experience.

Amazon discreetly upgrades its Fire HD 10 tablet with an additional 1GB of RAM.
Amazon has subtly refreshed one of its most popular tablets, but not quite in the way many anticipated. Instead of unveiling an entirely new Fire tablet following its longest product hiatus in years, the company has released a mildly upgraded version of the existing Fire HD 10 with an extra gigabyte of RAM.
While the update may seem minimal on paper, it comes at an intriguing time. Amazon hasn't launched a new Fire tablet since the Fire HD 8 refresh in 2024, and devices like the Fire 7 and Fire Max 11 have yet to see successors. Rather than diversifying its lineup, Amazon appears to be prolonging the lifespan of an aging product with a small hardware adjustment.
You’ll soon have the ability to use WhatsApp on your iPad without needing your iPhone.
Companion mode remains while primary mode is introduced, making WhatsApp on iPad significantly more functional.
If you've ever utilized WhatsApp on your iPad, you're likely familiar with its limitations. It cannot be set up without a primary device, lacks the ability to share live location, and doesn't allow for the use of broadcast lists.
That is finally changing. The latest update from WhatsApp is set to elevate the iPad user experience. Instead of functioning as an extension of your iPhone, it will soon operate as your main device.
An iPad Pro refresh could arrive in 2027 with enhanced cooling capabilities, but no design alterations.
Apple's forthcoming iPad Pro might not feature significant visual changes, but it could receive one logical upgrade for a thin tablet: improved cooling functionality.
According to Bloomberg, Apple is testing four new iPad Pro models that are slated for spring 2027. The tablets are expected to retain the current 11-inch and 13-inch display sizes while focusing primarily on internal enhancements, including faster processors. Apple has also reportedly experimented with a vapor chamber cooling system for the iPad Pro, which could enhance performance over extended use and minimize overheating.
