Samsung’s upcoming foldable has revealed more of its secrets. Android Headlines has published what appear to be the official images of the Galaxy Z Flip 8, offering us a clear preview of Samsung’s next clamshell device. However, if you were hoping for a significant redesign, it may be wise to manage those expectations.
If it’s working, Samsung won’t change it
The leaked images showcase the Galaxy Z Flip 8 in three colors: Cream, Graphite, and Pink. Cream is a bright white shade, Graphite offers a subdued gray tone, and Pink introduces a vibrant option to the collection. There are also rumors of a Mint variant, although this color is absent from the leaked visuals and might be a Samsung-exclusive.

Regarding design, the Flip 8 remains very similar to last year’s model. The large cover display still encircles the dual rear cameras, the frame is flat, and the familiar side-mounted power and volume buttons are positioned where expected. When opened, the device reveals a folding display with thin, even bezels and a centered hole-punch selfie camera. Samsung has consistently improved its flip phone design over recent generations, and these images suggest that the focus is on refinement rather than a complete overhaul.
The true improvements might be under the hood
The hardware details could be more intriguing than the external design. While nothing has been officially confirmed, rumors indicate that the Galaxy Z Flip 8 may use different processors based on the market, potentially featuring either Samsung’s Exynos 2600 or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy. Other speculated features include 12GB of RAM, fast UFS storage, a slightly larger 4,300mAh battery, and the same 50-megapixel main camera paired with a 12MP ultrawide sensor. Display sizes are expected to stay the same, with a 6.9-inch foldable AMOLED screen inside and a 4.1-inch cover display outside, both reportedly supporting a 120Hz refresh rate.

None of these details have been verified, but if they turn out to be true, it seems Samsung is aimed at enhancing the overall user experience. Luckily, we won’t have to wait long for confirmation. Samsung has announced its Unpacked event for July 22, where the Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Watch 9, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
