Google has announced the launch event for the Pixel 11, giving a sneak peek at the design of its new flagship.
The Pixel 11 has been officially announced for the second week of August.
Google confirmed the launch of the Pixel 11, coinciding with the Made by Google event set for August 12, 2026, which is a week earlier than the previous year. The event will start at 6 PM ET in New York City, a noticeable shift from Google's typical schedule.
In addition to the date confirmation, Google released an invitation image featuring a gold metal frame, potentially giving us our clearest view of the Pixel 11 Pro’s design, which showcases a flat frame and a premium finish.
So, what can we expect on August 12?
The full Pixel 11 lineup is anticipated, including four models: the standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Additionally, the Pixel Watch 5 in two sizes and new Pixel Buds Pro are likely to be unveiled, although there haven’t been any preceding rumors regarding them.
On the design side, the Pixel 11 Pro won't undergo significant changes. Leaked images indicate it will maintain a similar flat metal frame and a protruding, pill-shaped camera module that spans almost the entire width of the phone.
A new feature called Pixel Glow, an RGB LED lighting element that surfaced in earlier leaks this year, is also on the horizon. While it isn't visible in the invitation image, it may be concealed beneath the black glass of the camera module.
However, is there a catch?
Yes, there are indications of a potential issue. A leak surfaced just hours before Google distributed invitations, suggesting that the Pixel 11 prices in Europe may rise significantly.
Reports indicate that Google will eliminate the basic 128GB storage option altogether, suggesting that the entry-level Pixel 11 could begin with 256GB and cost €100 more than last year’s equivalent model.
This implies that the starting price for the entry-level Pixel 11 might reach €999 in Europe; the Pixel 11 Pro could start at €1,199, and the Pixel 11 Pro XL at €1,399. While US prices remain unconfirmed, the trend appears clear. It’s evident that August 12 will be a significant day for Google.

Your upcoming Teams meeting could feature an AI assistant that responds to queries on your behalf.
Microsoft Teams is undergoing a significant upgrade that enhances nearly every aspect of the app, including AI-assisted meetings and a more streamlined chat interface. Most of these features are currently in testing, with many set to roll out before summer ends.
The most notable enhancement is an improved AI Facilitator that can listen to meetings, identify when participants seem perplexed, and provide responses, as reported by Windows Report.
Google’s Pixel 11 price increases may be framed as a storage upgrade.
While Google has begun sending out invitations for its upcoming Made by Google event on August 12, recent leaks suggest that the Pixel 11 series will come with a higher starting price this year.
As per Dealabs, the Pixel 11 lineup will no longer offer a base storage option of 128GB. Instead, 256GB is expected to become the new standard storage for the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, with an anticipated price increase of 100 euros across the board.
