Samsung is openly revealing that a more spacious, pocket-friendly foldable phone is on the way.

Samsung typically prefers to keep its foldable devices hidden until the official launch. While there are occasional teasers, the company seldom clearly outlines what to anticipate. However, this year, it seems different. Samsung is almost explicitly suggesting that a more compact and pocket-friendly foldable is on the horizon.
This began yesterday when Samsung’s social media platforms released a teaser featuring a canvas painting transforming into the number “8,” a clear reference to the forthcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup, which is anticipated to be highlighted at Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event. The Fold 8 is rumored to bring improvements to the current design, yet Samsung’s teasers indicate that there might be more than just a standard model coming.
Samsung’s teasers are making it clear
Following that, there was another video showcasing a pizza slice labeled as “a whole new slice.” At first glance, it seems like clever advertising. However, in combination with the visuals, it appears Samsung is suggesting something previously unseen in its book-style foldables: a wider, more compact design that would be easier to fit into pockets and more comfortable to handle when folded.
The hints didn't end there. Samsung continued to share teasers displaying everyday items changed into wider, shorter forms, reinforcing the same concept. Although none of the videos explicitly refer to a new foldable variant, collectively, they strongly imply that Samsung is gearing up to unveil a wider model alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8. If true, this could represent one of the most significant design changes the Fold lineup has experienced in years.

Two new leaks are clarifying the design of Samsung's upcoming book-style foldable, suggesting the company might finally be tackling one of the longest-standing criticisms of the Galaxy Z Fold lineup. Sometimes, a wider design really is superior.

I already had more reasons than I anticipated to keep the Motorola Razr Fold. While reviewing it, Motorola's first foldable genuinely impressed me with its quality. A functional outer display, excellent cameras, strong battery life, and a stunning folding screen made me consider it as my primary phone. Now, Motorola has added another reason, further enhancing its appeal. The Motorola Razr Fold now supports AirDrop-like sharing through Android’s Quick Share, making it the first Motorola device to offer this feature. This means Razr Fold users can quickly share files directly with Apple devices like iPhones, iPads, and Macs without needing cloud links, messaging apps, USB cables, or the usual cross-platform complications.
