After the successful run of Spider-Noir, Prime Video is bringing Gotham's own dark figure back to screens. The streaming service has released the first trailer for Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2, which confirms the presence of Edward Nygma’s Riddler and offers a glimpse of The Joker.
All ten episodes of Batman: Caped Crusader will be available for streaming on July 31, allowing fans to binge the season when Gotham's conflict intensifies.

The trailer focuses prominently on Riddler, portraying Edward Nygma with a sense of menace that aligns with the show's 1940s ambiance. The most significant reveal comes at the end, featuring a quick glimpse of The Joker, indicating a substantial role for him this season. The series centers on a young Bruce Wayne, voiced by Hamish Linklater, navigating his early, challenging years combating crime in Gotham.
Returning cast members include Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn, Jason Watkins as Alfred, Eric Morgan Stuart as Commissioner Gordon, Krystal Joy Brown as Barbara Gordon, and Michelle C. Bonilla as Renee Montoya. Prime Video has yet to announce the voice actors for new characters like Carrie Kelley, Roxy Rocket, or The Joker, leaving that information undisclosed.
The Revival of Batman: Caped Crusader
This trailer represents a noteworthy survival tale. The series was initially removed from HBO Max's schedule by Warner Bros. Discovery, along with other projects like Batgirl and Scoob! Holiday Haunt, but Prime Video has provided it with the recognition and audience it deserves.
At the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, Amazon also announced several other significant animation projects, including the renewal of Invincible for a sixth season. They also unveiled a new trailer for season 3 of Helluva Boss and announced Genndy Tartakovsky’s Conan the Barbarian: Queen of the Black Coast.
Melissa Wolfe, Amazon’s Head of Animation, stated that this lineup reflects the studio's increasing ambitions in the animation space.
