Google Wallet has the potential to expedite your experience at airport security through TSA PreCheck's Touchless ID feature.
Google Wallet has become the first digital wallet to collaborate with TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, potentially saving travelers time at the airport.
Starting this week, eligible PreCheck passengers can register just once through Google Wallet instead of entering their ID details manually with each airline.
Google Wallet has now officially formed a partnership with TSA PreCheck Touchless ID, aiming to enhance the airport security process for qualifying travelers. This new integration will begin rolling out in the coming weeks, allowing eligible TSA PreCheck travelers to…
**How TSA PreCheck Touchless ID works with Google Wallet at the airport**
Touchless ID allows passengers to bypass showing a physical ID at security by using facial comparison technology in designated lanes. Currently, it is available at 65 airports and with a select group of airlines, but Google’s partnership expands access to over 100 TSA PreCheck airlines at participating locations.
To get started, users first create a digital ID pass in Google Wallet, check in with a participating airline, and add their boarding pass. If eligible, a “Get started” button will appear, leading to a TSA consent page where users can permit the sharing of their ID and boarding pass information.
Once TSA verifies your enrollment, your boarding pass receives a Touchless ID badge, allowing you to use the express lane. Google ensures that your digital ID remains encrypted and stored locally on your device, with no information shared with TSA until you unlock your phone and explicitly opt in.
**Google’s digital ID initiatives continue to grow**
This rollout is part of Google’s broader strategy to transform Wallet into a replacement for physical cards and documents, with recent expansions including support for passports and state IDs. Google product lead PJ Linarducci noted that the timing aligns perfectly with the busy summer travel season.
The update will be introduced over the next few weeks, so it may not be immediately available to everyone who qualifies. Google Wallet's enhancements also include role-based car key sharing and a faster checkout process that replaces one-time passcodes with a quick biometric scan.

**These Prime Day charger deals are my top recommendations before prices increase**
Prime Day brings substantial discounts on Anker, Ugreen, and Belkin charging products.
Prime Day is an excellent opportunity to refresh your charging setup, especially if you're still using outdated power bricks, slow adapters, or separate chargers for different devices. This year’s discounts feature compact GaN chargers, high-power laptop chargers, desk-friendly charging stations, and foldable stands for phones, earbuds, and wearables. While I wouldn’t buy every charger just because it’s on sale, these are the deals I’d truly consider for a tidier desk, enhanced travel kit, or quicker everyday charging.
