Kodak Charmera is launching a new $30 keychain camera that features a flip screen for taking selfies.
Yashica's latest camera enhances the enjoyment of toy photography
Yashica
Miniature digital cameras are trending, and Yashica is now introducing a charming option for toy photography enthusiasts. The company’s new Funtastic Keychain Camera is just as playful as its name implies—a compact digital camera small enough to attach to your keys, bag, or lanyard. Its primary competitor is the well-liked Kodak Charmera, a tiny blind-box keychain camera that has become a viral favorite.
Now, Yashica’s model enters the same fun camera space but adds a particularly handy feature: a 180-degree flip screen.
The flip screen is the enjoyable feature
Yashica
The standout benefit of the Funtastic compared to most other toy-style keychain cameras is undoubtedly the flip screen. Instead of guessing your selfie frame, you can simply flip the screen up to see what you’re capturing. However, like many small digital cameras, its specifications are modest. Yashica lists a 1MP 1/4-inch CMOS sensor, F2.8 lens, 0.96-inch display, 1440 x 1080 JPG output, and AVI video recording at 30fps. It also charges and transfers data via USB-C, includes a built-in 200mAh battery, and supports microSD cards ranging from 4GB to 64GB, although the memory card is sold separately.
In summary, do not purchase this camera expecting high-definition computational photography. Instead, consider it for the nostalgic images it produces, reminiscent of photographs from an old family album.

Adorable, affordable, and highly collectible
The standard Yashica Boy version is priced at HK$198, while the Snoopy and Hello Kitty editions are available for HK$218. This means the camera costs under $30, depending on conversion rates and shipping. It serves as a direct alternative to the Kodak Charmera, which also falls within the $30 novelty camera range. The Funtastic is set to ship the week of June 22, 2026.
