Google Photos on Android now offers a dedicated space for your personalized stickers.
A new Stickers folder in Collections now saves all the custom stickers you create, ensuring you won't have to search for them again.
After introducing a handy sticker creation feature on iOS last year, Google Photos made it available to Android users this past February. This functionality allows for quick sticker creation via a simple long-press gesture, making it effortless to share personalized stickers with friends and family. Now, Google is enhancing the experience further by adding a dedicated folder that automatically houses every sticker you've created.
Where to locate the Stickers folder
As reported by 9to5Google, the new Stickers folder can be found in the Collections tab within Google Photos, situated just after the Places map. It organizes your sticker creations in reverse chronological order, so your most recently made stickers are always displayed at the top.
Tapping on any sticker brings up a preview panel with options to copy the sticker for sharing through the system share sheet or to delete it.
Catching up to iOS
Typically, Android users are the first to receive new features on Google Photos, but sticker creation and the dedicated sticker folder are notable exceptions. The sticker creation feature was introduced on the iPhone in August 2022, a full six months before it became available on Android. Similarly, the sticker folder made its debut on iOS earlier, in January.
The feature is reportedly available in Google Photos version 7.78; however, if you don't see it immediately, ensure you have the latest version and look out for an in-app message that says, “Stickers you create are automatically saved inside Collections.”
Having all your stickers centralized eliminates a minor but real inconvenience, aligning the Android experience with what iOS users have enjoyed for months.
