Amazon has just introduced eight new visual search features, all now available.
Amazon has unveiled its most significant update to visual search within its shopping app, introducing a variety of new features that enhance both the search process and browsing experience.
Every new visual search feature added to Amazon's shopping app
The search bar in the Amazon app now generates real-time AI product images as you type, providing a visual reference for items you may struggle to describe verbally.
Amazon Lens has made its way to the iPhone lock screen through a dedicated widget, enabling you to search for anything you see in the real world without needing to launch the app.
Lens Live offers a fresh AI-driven camera functionality that quickly scans whatever is in the camera's view and displays matching products in a swipeable carousel at the bottom of the screen.
Visual Suggestions provides descriptive image filters under the search bar while you type broad terms, such as “flannel shirt,” allowing you to select the closest match to refine your search results instantly.
Circle to Search enables you to upload any photo to Amazon Lens and draw a circle around a specific item for direct identification, and you can resize or shift focus to another item altogether.
Product videos are now included in search results for home goods, appliances, toys, and electronics, allowing you to view them before clicking, all without leaving the results page.
The More Like This button allows you to tap on any product image in the search results to quickly reveal similar items, perfect for when you admire the design of something but seek a different color, length, or style.
Additionally, you can now add descriptive text to any image you upload to Amazon Lens, detailing aspects like brand, material, or dimensions to further refine your results.
Why this update is important
Visual searches on Amazon have increased by 70% year over year, and these new features indicate that inputting keywords into a search bar is becoming outdated.
Whether you’re highlighting items in photos, viewing product videos without clicking through, or using AI to fill in visual gaps, Amazon believes that demonstrating is more efficient than describing. With Prime Day set for June 23 to 26, you'll have plenty of opportunities to try out these new features.

Google Photos on Android has finally created a designated space for your custom stickers
A new dedicated Stickers folder in Collections will keep every custom sticker you create organized so that you won't have to search for them anymore.
After introducing a convenient sticker-creation feature on iOS last year, Google Photos expanded this option to Android users in February. This feature allows users to quickly produce stickers through a simple long-press gesture, making sharing personalized stickers with friends and family exceptionally easy. Now, Google is adding another enhancement: a dedicated folder that automatically saves every sticker you've created.
