Alienware has released upgraded gaming monitors that feature increased brightness and refresh rates, with prices beginning at $300.
Alienware is introducing four new monitors at Computex 2026, spanning nearly every category important to serious PC gamers. The latest Alienware gaming displays combine brighter OLED technology, faster refresh rates for ultrawide screens, and a $299.99 240Hz QHD option in one launch cycle.
The lineup features a 39-inch 5K OLED flagship, a 34-inch 280Hz QD-OLED ultrawide, and two 240Hz QHD LCD models available in 32 inches and 34 inches. This assortment allows Alienware to offer a premium product while making fast QHD monitors more accessible for mainstream upgrades.
The standout model, the Alienware 39 5K OLED Gaming Monitor (AW3926QW), is particularly eye-catching. Alienware claims it is the first 39-inch 5K OLED gaming monitor with RGB stripe technology, boasting a peak brightness of up to 1,300 nits, a 165Hz refresh rate at 5120 x 2160 resolution, and a 1080p mode that can achieve 330Hz for competitive gaming.
How bright can OLED get now
The two OLED models address common issues like performance in bright rooms and text clarity. The 39-inch AW3926QW features an RGB stripe tandem OLED panel, while the 34-inch AW3426DW employs a 5-stack QD-OLED Penta Tandem design.
Both monitors can reach 1,300 nits for HDR highlights and are compatible with VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and Dolby Vision. For the 34-inch version, Alienware has increased the refresh rate from 240Hz to 280Hz, the peak brightness from 1,000 nits to 1,300 nits, and upgraded from True Black 400 to True Black 500 compared to its predecessor.
Enhanced brightness also brings durability concerns for OLED back into focus. Alienware is offering three years of burn-in coverage for both OLED models, providing some reassurance regarding the durability of the brighter screens.

How low can premium speed go
The LCD models provide the strongest price appeal in the lineup. The AW3226DM is priced at $299.99, while the ultrawide AW3426DWM is available for $399.99, both featuring 240Hz VA panels.
While buyers will miss out on the pixel-level lighting and deeper contrast of OLED, the core gaming specifications remain competitive at these price points. The 32-inch model has a resolution of 2560 x 1440, whereas the 34-inch ultrawide goes up to 3440 x 1440. Both displays feature a 1500R curvature, a 1ms gray-to-gray response time, AMD FreeSync Premium, VESA AdaptiveSync, Dolby Vision, VESA DisplayHDR 400, and 95% DCI-P3 color coverage.
