With One UI 9, your WhatsApp and Google Meet calls will appear in Samsung's Phone app.
Just like how iOS presents them to iPhone users, now in one consolidated call log.
If you’ve transitioned from an iPhone to a Samsung and found your WhatsApp or Google Meet calls missing from your phone’s call log, One UI 9 is set to resolve that issue.
In One UI 9, Samsung’s Phone app will include calls made via other applications alongside standard calls within a single, integrated call log.
Why is this important?
According to screenshots of the One UI 9 beta shared by SamMobile, this feature currently accommodates Google Meet and WhatsApp, with expectations that support will broaden to other apps in the future.
Alongside the integrated call log, Samsung’s Now Brief feature, which reminds you to contact people you haven’t talked to in a while, will now also recognize calls made via WhatsApp or Google Meet.
This means it will no longer suggest calling someone you've already communicated with through another application.
You can also retain the previous layout
If you prefer to keep your WhatsApp, Meet, and regular call logs separate, One UI 9 allows you to disable this feature in Phone app > Settings > Other call settings > Other calling apps, and turn off history from specific applications.
Currently, One UI 9 is in beta for the Galaxy S26 series, with general release anticipated later this year alongside the launch of Samsung’s new foldable devices. iPhones have offered this capability for many years. The iOS Phone app has long integrated calls from various apps, such as WhatsApp, FaceTime, and Telegram, into a single, unified history, simplifying the tracking of all calls regardless of the app used.
