With One UI 9, your WhatsApp and Google Meet calls will be displayed in Samsung's Phone app.

Just like iOS presents call logs to iPhone users, Samsung is making a similar change.

If you've transitioned from an iPhone to a Samsung device and found that your video calls on WhatsApp or Google Meet aren't appearing in the phone's call log, One UI 9 aims to address this issue.

In One UI 9, Samsung's Phone app will combine calls made through third-party applications with standard calls in a single, cohesive call log.

According to SamMobile, screenshots of the One UI 9 beta reveal that this feature currently supports Google Meet and WhatsApp, with plans to extend compatibility to additional applications in the future.

Along with the merged call log, Samsung’s Now Brief feature, which reminds users to connect with contacts they haven't talked to recently, will now recognize calls made through WhatsApp or Google Meet.

This means it will refrain from suggesting you call someone you've already chatted with via another app.

If you prefer to keep your WhatsApp, Google Meet, and standard call logs separate, One UI 9 provides an option to turn off this feature in the Phone app by navigating to Settings > Other call settings > Other calling apps and disabling history from specific applications.

One UI 9 is currently in beta for the Galaxy S26 series, with a broader release anticipated later this year, coinciding with the launch of Samsung's upcoming foldable devices. Google has also revealed plans to implement the unified call log feature for all Android 16 devices using the Google Phone app, but Samsung appears to be leading the way in user-friendly enhancements.

In contrast, iPhones have offered this integration for several years. The iOS Phone app consistently displays call history from various apps, including WhatsApp, FaceTime, and Telegram, in a single, comprehensive record, making it easier to track all calls irrespective of the app used.

Halide Mark III introduces a touch of cinematic charm to one of the premier camera apps available for the iPhone.

With stunning, film-inspired aesthetics, a robust photo lab, and a host of other essential features, Halide has become my go-to camera app, especially since I dislike the heavily processed photos typical of iPhones. Its Process Zero mode revitalizes images by stripping away the excess processing that Apple usually applies, resulting in photos reminiscent of a classic camera's output. This camera app is so impressive that even Apple tried to purchase it.

Halide Mark II was already one of the top iPhone camera apps, but now, Lux Optics has launched Halide Mark III, a significant upgrade designed to make it the only camera app you will ever need, and early indicators suggest it might succeed.

Google is rolling out a security enhancement for the Chrome browser, one that likely won't be visible to users, but is beneficial nonetheless.

The Device Bound Session Credentials (DBSC) update addresses one of the most commonly exploited vulnerabilities in browser security.

Google has discreetly implemented this important security upgrade in Chrome for Windows, available to all Google Workspace users, including individual subscribers and those with personal accounts. The feature is activated by default, eliminating the need for users to adjust any settings.
