      Apple may finally be gearing up for a significant iPhone redesign that fans have been eagerly anticipating for years. Recent leaks about the company’s anticipated 20th anniversary iPhone, informally dubbed the “iPhone XX” or “iPhone 20,” indicate that Apple is developing a device that looks quite different from the current flat-edged iPhones. In fact, some of the early renders resemble the futuristic iPhone concept envisioned a decade ago.

      Reports from the supply chain suggest that Apple is testing a heavily curved “quad-curved” display that encircles all four sides of the phone. This design is said to combine the curved glass aesthetic with a softer, rounded chassis, moving away from the sharper industrial look that has characterized iPhones since the iPhone 12.       Curiously, some leaked prototype images reveal only two rear cameras instead of the typical triple-camera configuration seen in Apple’s flagship models. This has led to speculation that the anniversary iPhone could be a premium special edition rather than a direct successor to the Pro models.

      In terms of camera hardware, significant upgrades may be on the horizon with the introduction of new LOFIC sensor technology aimed at enhancing HDR and dynamic range significantly. Of course, this is still the prototype phase, and Apple frequently shifts its focus behind the scenes. However, if even a portion of these rumors holds true by 2027, the anniversary iPhone might finally offer the bold redesign that many have anticipated for years.
