Apple may finally be gearing up for the significant iPhone redesign that fans have been anticipating for years. Recent leaks regarding the company's rumored 20th-anniversary iPhone — currently known online as the “iPhone XX” or “iPhone 20” — indicate that Apple is developing a device that appears radically different from the current flat-edged iPhones. Some of the early renders resemble the futuristic iPhone concepts people envisioned a decade ago.
According to new supply chain information, Apple is testing a highly curved “quad-curved” display that curves around all four sides of the phone. This design is believed to combine a glass-dominated aesthetic with a softer, rounded chassis, moving away from the sharper industrial design Apple has favored since the iPhone 12. If these leaks are even somewhat accurate, the anniversary iPhone could feel more like polished glass than a conventional smartphone.
Apple reportedly aims to conceal nearly all features beneath the display.
The most significant rumored upgrade might not even be the curves. There are reports that Apple is exploring under-display Face ID technology, potentially reducing the Dynamic Island to a simple hole-punch camera cutout. This would represent one of Apple’s most substantial display changes since the introduction of the notch with the iPhone X in 2017.

Additionally, Apple is said to be investigating thinner display technology using something called CoE (Color Filter on Encapsulation), along with enhanced anti-reflective coatings. The apparent objective is to create a screen that appears cleaner, lighter, and visually seamless. There are even hints of capacitive solid-state buttons taking the place of physical keys entirely — a rumor that has emerged previously but has yet to materialize.
The camera setup may also experience changes.
Interestingly, some leaked prototype renders depict only two rear cameras, differing from Apple's typical triple-camera flagship configuration. This has led to speculation that the anniversary iPhone might be a premium special edition rather than a direct Pro successor.

Meanwhile, the camera hardware could receive significant upgrades thanks to new LOFIC sensor technology, which aims to enhance HDR and dynamic range considerably. Of course, this information pertains to early prototypes, and Apple frequently shifts direction behind the scenes. However, if even a portion of these rumors proves accurate by 2027, the anniversary iPhone could finally showcase the bold redesign that many have expected for years.

With iOS 27, Apple will finally allow users to explore casting options beyond AirPlay.
Your iPhone could soon connect more seamlessly with non-Apple devices.
Apple is reportedly preparing one of the most surprising updates to iOS in years: support for third-party wireless casting systems as alternatives to AirPlay. According to a Bloomberg report by Mark Gurman, iOS 27 will enable users in the European Union to select services like Google Cast as their default option for streaming videos, photos, and audio from iPhones and iPads to TVs, speakers, and other connected devices. This change is part of Apple’s ongoing efforts to comply with the European Union’s Digital Markets Act (DMA), a comprehensive regulation aimed at reducing large tech companies' control over their platforms and ecosystems.

Good Lock is why I keep returning to the Galaxy S26.
Good Lock is essentially a free upgrade for the Galaxy S26.
In my Galaxy S26 review, I mentioned briefly that Good Lock is an experience every Samsung user should explore. One UI is filled with features that don't always seem cohesive, but the software design appears intentional. Samsung's custom interface has been one of my favorites due to its strong identity, and one of its best-kept secrets is Good Lock.
Good Lock is one of those Samsung features that can be surprisingly easy to overlook. There isn’t a flashy demonstration at the beginning of the setup process since it exists as a separate app that you’ll need to download. However, it’s precisely this feature that gives One UI an advantage over many other Android skins.
