Rosatom has introduced a laptop with ARM architecture featuring a domestic operating system.

At CIPR-2026, Rosatom and Byteg presented the OKO BOOK 5 YOGA laptop with the Russian operating system "OKO". The device, based on ARM architecture, is aimed at companies transitioning to import-independent IT solutions.

The state corporation Rosatom and the company Byteg, which specializes in the development and production of mobile electronics, introduced the new OKO BOOK 5 YOGA laptop, running on the mobile operating system "OKO" developed in-house. The device is primarily intended for organizations that are moving to an import-independent IT infrastructure.

The new product is built on ARM architecture and comes with a pre-installed domestic OS. The manufacturers position the model as a universal mobile solution for users who need a tool for working with office programs, web services, and specialized software. One of the features of the device is its transformer design, allowing the laptop to be used in various formats depending on the work scenarios.

The OKO BOOK 5 YOGA is equipped with an octa-core processor, supports up to 16 GB of RAM, and up to 512 GB of built-in storage. According to the developers, these specifications ensure stable performance during multitasking and allow for running resource-intensive applications. The laptop features a 13.2-inch touchscreen display with high image quality. Additionally, the model is compact, weighing no more than 1.2 kilograms.

Dmitry Logvinov, the product development director at Byteg, stated that the launch of mass production of the laptop is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026. The production of devices is planned to be organized in the territory of the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow". This, as Logvinov emphasized, indicates the company's readiness to scale production and offer Russian organizations a modern and secure device compatible with domestic operating systems.
