JBL's Soundgear Clips already had a playful transparent gadget appeal, but the new color elevates them further. The company has launched an Emerald Green Special Edition of its open-ear Soundgear Clips in China, marking the sixth color option available. This new addition joins the previously released Blue Ghost, Black Ghost, White Ghost, Purple Ghost, and Copper Ghost.

The Emerald Green variant retains the same see-through design as the other Soundgear Clips colors and includes a matching carrying case. While the transparent finish is part of its allure, it's no longer exclusive, as demonstrated by Nothing's transparent earbuds.
With a translucent green exterior, a darker inner tint, and gold JBL accents, these earbuds exude a distinct Matrix-inspired vibe. Unfortunately, this makes their limited availability even more disappointing. Currently, the new Emerald Green Special Edition is only available in China, with no information on a possible release in other regions. It is listed on JD.com for 999 Yuan, roughly $147 or €127.
A style update for the same earbuds

This edition is a design iteration rather than an entirely new model. The Soundgear Clips still feature JBL’s SonicArc design combined with OpenSound Technology and air conduction, aimed at keeping the audio private while allowing surrounding sounds to be heard. Each earbud contains an 11mm dynamic driver and two beamforming microphones.
You can also expect Bluetooth 5.4, Bluetooth Multipoint, an IP54 dust and water resistance rating, and compatibility with the JBL Headphones app on both Android and iOS. The earbuds offer up to 8 hours of usage on a single charge and a total of 32 hours with the charging case. Now, JBL just needs to consider making this exciting color available to more markets.
