CapCut is integrating its editing tools into Gemini, transforming your creative workflow forever.
Your preferred video editor is about to be incorporated into your favorite AI application.
CapCut has recently revealed a collaboration with Google’s Gemini app. Very soon, you will be able to edit images and videos directly within Gemini, utilizing CapCut’s editing features without needing to switch between applications.
CapCut announced on X that users will have the ability to “edit images and videos directly within the Gemini app using CapCut’s advanced creative and editing tools.” The company further expressed its belief that the future of creation will be more conversational, intuitive, and seamlessly integrated across various tools.
What does this imply for you?
Currently, creating content using these two applications involves a lot of switching back and forth. You typically use Gemini for brainstorming, script writing, or image generation, and then move to CapCut for the actual editing. Once this integration is launched, that cumbersome multi-step process will become unnecessary.

You'll be able to conceptualize an idea, generate media, and refine the final product without leaving Gemini. For users already dependent on both tools, this is a significant time-saver.
This collaboration isn’t entirely unexpected. Google Photos already enables users to export their year-end highlights directly to CapCut for editing. Additionally, CapCut’s website includes various Gemini-focused guides and templates that assist users in generating scripts and ideas in Gemini before transferring them to CapCut for production.
This integration is a logical progression that builds on the previous efforts of both companies.
When will it be available?
CapCut has confirmed that the feature is on the way, but a specific release date has not been disclosed. The announcement came shortly after Google I/O, where Google introduced new features for Gemini, making a rollout in 2026 a likely expectation.
If you frequently create videos using AI tools, this integration is definitely worth monitoring.

Microsoft is addressing a Windows 11 search issue that has likely frustrated you multiple times.
Bing may finally stop appearing before your local files in Windows Search.
Windows 11 has several annoyances within the operating system, but I consistently find the Search function to be among the most irritating. You use it to locate an installed app or a file stored on your PC, and Windows seemingly provides the correct result. However, when you click it, Microsoft Edge opens a Bing search page instead. While it may be a minor issue, it renders Windows Search unreliable for simple local searches. Now, in the latest insider experimental build, Microsoft appears to be working on a solution to this problem.
AI is enhancing the capabilities of "wizards" on 4Chan who accept requests to create nudified images of women.
A recent analysis by the Institute for Strategic Dialogue and reporting from WIRED reveal how 4chan users request, create, praise, and distribute non-consensual AI-generated nude images of women.
4chan has emerged as a hotspot for AI image abuse, with anonymous users urging editors to convert ordinary photos of women into synthetic sexual images without consent. The Institute for Strategic Dialogue analyzed 7,616 English-language posts from December 2025 to March 2026 and discovered that 2,927 contained language associated with nudification or image manipulation. WIRED adds that there is a culture of requesting and rewarding, where individuals creating these fakes are regarded as skilled operators.
