Microsoft introduces tab intelligence to the Edge browser, and I genuinely hope Apple incorporates it into Safari.
Bid farewell to managing multiple tabs and welcome Copilot to handle the work for you.
Everyone can agree that handling tabs can be quite challenging. You embark on researching a topic, and before you realize it, you have 15 tabs open, forgetting which one holds the crucial information you need. This happens to me frequently, and I employ various methods such as tab groups, bookmarks, and browser extensions to keep my tabs organized.
If you belong to the small group of Microsoft Edge users, you’ll be pleased to know that Microsoft has addressed this issue with its latest Edge update, and I genuinely wish Safari, which I primarily use, would implement something similar.
What is tab intelligence capable of?
With the new Edge update, Copilot can now scan all your open tabs to assist you in making decisions without the constant switching back and forth. For example, if you're planning a trip and have numerous tabs open to explore the best sights, restaurants, and activities,
thanks to this update, you won't need to jump around tabs for the information. Just pose your question to Copilot, and it will search through the tabs to find what you need.
No setup is required. Simply click on the Copilot icon and ask your question. Copilot will gather context from everything you have open and provide a straightforward, consolidated answer.
It goes above and beyond; with your consent, Copilot can access your browsing history and previous chats to offer more relevant responses. So, if you were exploring a topic three days ago and decide to revisit it today, Copilot can connect the relevant information for you.

I really want this feature for Safari
This capability is incredibly beneficial, especially for individuals who conduct extensive research before making purchases or planning trips. The catch is that I am an iPhone and Mac user, which confines me to Safari.
Safari is a solid browser, but Apple's Intelligence has been slow to introduce meaningful features. A tab intelligence function that allows you to ask Siri to compare information across open tabs would be a game-changer for me.

Fluffy robot seals are being utilized for mental health care at a UK hospital
A fluffy robotic seal may soon become an unexpected companion during mental health appointments.
A baby seal robot designed for mental health care might seem like something out of a science fiction film, but Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust is currently testing one in its outpatient clinics, and the concept makes a lot of sense after closer examination.
It's a PARO robot (a personal robot designed for therapeutic purposes) that mimics the appearance and behavior of a baby seal. It responds to touch, sound, light, and temperature with gentle movements and soft sounds. Consider it a therapy animal, but without the unpredictability associated with a live pet. You can hold it, interact with it, and it responds in kind.
