      When is the Pixel 11 series expected to be released?

      Google has yet to make an official announcement, but the trend is hard to miss. The Pixel 9 series was unveiled in August 2024, followed by the Pixel 10 series in August 2025, and all indicators suggest the Pixel 11 series will debut in August 2026. After the announcement, sales could begin around mid-September.

      The Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold are anticipated to make their debut at a “Made by Google” hardware event. However, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold might be launched a few weeks later, possibly in October 2026, similar to the delayed release of the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

      What design changes can we expect for the Pixel 11 series?

      Aesthetic-wise, the upcoming Pixel series may not undergo significant changes. Google is likely to maintain the same fundamental design style for the third consecutive year, as leaked CAD renders from OnLeaks indicate that the focus will be on refinements rather than a complete redesign. The renders suggest the lineup will keep its flat sides, rounded corners, and distinctive horizontal camera bar.

      The most noticeable alteration, if the renders are accurate, is that the camera bar will be entirely black for all models, rather than matching the color of the device body as seen in earlier versions. The bezels appear thinner as well. The dimensions of the standard Pixel 11 are rumored to be 152.8 x 72 x 8.5mm, nearly the same as the Pixel 10, though slightly slimmer.

      The Pixel 11 Pro Fold might feature a more significant design update, with leaked CAD renders indicating a thinner profile of 10.1mm when folded and 4.8mm when unfolded, along with a more integrated camera module.

      Tensor G6: Google’s first 2nm chip

      The Tensor G6 is expected to be the most substantial upgrade under the hood in the Pixel 11 series. Leaks suggest it will be manufactured on TSMC’s N2 (2nm) technology, making it Google’s first 2nm chip and promising notable enhancements in efficiency and thermal performance compared to earlier models.

      The CPU is rumored to have a unique 7-core setup, including 1 ARM C1-Ultra core operating at 4.11GHz, 4 ARM C1-Pro cores at 3.38GHz, and 2 ARM C1-Pro cores at 2.65GHz. It is expected to be paired with a PowerVR C-Series CXTP-48-1536 GPU, a new Titan M3 security chip, a new TPU (codenamed Santafe), and a new GXP image signal processor (codenamed Metis).

      One of the significant changes reportedly involves the modem. Google is believed to be replacing Samsung’s Exynos modem, which has been used for years, with MediaTek’s M90 (MT6986D), potentially improving 5G connectivity and power efficiency.

      The base Pixel 11 is rumored to feature a 6.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2424, a refresh rate of 60-120Hz, and a peak brightness of 3,100 nits. The PWM dimming is cited at 240Hz in the leaked specifications, which is somewhat lower compared to competitors.

      The Pixel 11 Pro is said to have a 6.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1280×2856, a refresh rate of 1-120Hz, 3,600 nits peak brightness, and 240Hz PWM dimming. The Pro XL allegedly matches those display specifications but features a larger 6.8-inch OLED with a resolution of 1344×2992.

      The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is rumored to include an inner folding OLED screen with a resolution of 2076×2160, a refresh rate of 1-120Hz, a peak brightness of 3,500 nits, and an outer cover display with a resolution of 1080×2342, a refresh rate of 60-120Hz, and a
