One reason I've favored Gemini over Claude on my iPhone is its seamless integration with Android applications. However, that changes today as Anthropic has added support for 15 new app connectors to Claude, including AllTrails, Audible, Booking.com, Instacart, Intuit TurboTax, Resy, Spotify, StubHub, TaskRabbit, Thumbtack, TripAdvisor, Uber, Uber Eats, and Viator.
Although this feature launched in 2025 with over 100 app connections, today's update enhances its utility for everyday users by including apps we frequently use.
The concept is straightforward. Rather than switching between apps to accomplish tasks, you can manage everything within a single Claude conversation.
What can you do with these new connectors?
You can interact with almost any of these apps by simply conversing with Claude. For instance, Claude provides an excellent example of how you can easily access your frequently used apps directly from a chat.
If you're planning a weekend getaway, you can ask Claude to find hiking trails on AllTrails, reserve a hotel via Booking.com, book a table on Resy, and request an Uber to the airport, all without leaving the chat.
As Claude has memory, it retains your preferences and the context of the conversation, so you won’t need to start over with each follow-up question.
The same applies to your typical week. Need to buy groceries? Instacart is linked. Want to sort out your taxes? TurboTax is included as well. If multiple connected apps can provide answers, Claude will present all available options for you to choose from.
Will Claude start making purchases without your consent?
A primary concern with allowing Claude access to your apps is the potential for unauthorized purchases. According to Anthropic, Claude will make suggestions and recommendations, but it will always request your confirmation before booking or purchasing anything on your behalf.
Regarding privacy, Claude states that connecting an app allows it to access that app on your behalf, but your data isn't used for training Anthropic’s models, and the connected app cannot view your other conversations with Claude. You can also disconnect any app whenever you choose.
As you connect more apps, Claude becomes increasingly helpful. If these connectors perform as well as demonstrated by Anthropic, Claude may evolve from being a niche tool to a widely used app on both iPhones and Android devices.
