Samsung discreetly released a significant editing upgrade for Galaxy users.
Samsung has revamped its Galaxy Enhance-X app in a notable way, which goes beyond just rearranging buttons. According to Android Authority, the company has discreetly launched Galaxy Enhance-X version 16.3.00.31, featuring a redesigned interface along with a variety of new editing functionalities for photos, videos, and documents.
This update is now available and can be found on the Galaxy Store. With this release, Samsung aims to make the Enhance-X app considerably more versatile compared to its earlier version.

The most significant immediate alteration is the layout. Samsung has divided the app into a three-tab interface, featuring Plugins, Home, and History. The Plugins tab serves its purpose as expected, Home is the main area for editing, and History keeps a record of files that have been edited previously.
The new plugins add an element of excitement. Samsung has introduced a modular plugin system, currently offering three options. These include CinematicGlow, which applies a soft, dreamy diffusion effect, FilmStyle, featuring nine film-inspired filters, and SkyGuide, which identifies stars, constellations, and other celestial entities in night-sky images. Users can download these plugins separately through the Galaxy Store, where they appear as additional tools within Galaxy Enhance-X.
This dedicated tab also allows Samsung to continue expanding the app without cluttering the main experience. During my use on the Galaxy S26, the overall experience felt clean and user-friendly.

What else does it provide?
The update also introduces enhanced editing tools for photos, videos, and documents. The Photo tools section now encompasses features like blur correction, reflection removal, HDR, sharpening, and more, while the Face editing section allows for adjustments to smoothness, tone, eyes, and jawline. On the document front, Samsung has included Doc tools that can automatically clean and crop scans, convert and merge files into JPEGs or PDFs, and even enable users to apply filters, translate text, draw, crop, and add text.
For added convenience, batch editing is now available, enabling users to process multiple photos or videos simultaneously. Additionally, the new History tab organizes all files in standard formats like JPEG, MP4, and PDF. Overall, these enhancements transform Samsung’s Galaxy Enhance-X into a more compelling editing application.
