Motorola has now launched the Android 17 beta for additional Razr and Edge smartphones.

Motorola is broadening its Android 17 beta program to encompass additional older models. This time, even former flagship and foldable devices are being included.

According to Android Authority, Motorola is extending Android 17 beta access to three additional devices: the Motorola Razr Plus 2025, the Motorola Razr Plus 2024, and the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. In specific markets, the Razr Plus 2024 and 2025 models are marketed as the Razr 50 Ultra and Razr 60 Ultra. All these devices are high-end models that are now receiving the latest beta version.

The company is no longer limiting the beta to a select few early devices, instead, it is expanding the program to feature two foldable phones and one flagship model. To recall, Motorola initiated the Android 17 beta back in February, initially offering it to the Moto Edge (2025), Moto G57, and Moto G57 Power.

This expansion follows closely after Google began its process, and Motorola appears more open to increasing access than in the past. This change is significant for a brand that hasn't always been known for rapid Android updates. While this remains beta software, it seems that Motorola is keen to display progress this time.

Motorola is currently accepting applications from users in the US, India, Europe, Latin America, and Brazil. This represents a broad range, making it feel less like a restricted preview and more like a substantial opportunity for users interested in testing the software early.

The application process is relatively straightforward. Users must create an account on Motorola’s official community website, input their phone’s IMEI or serial number into their profile, join the Motorola Feedback Network, and apply via the Beta Testing Opportunities page. Once approved, users will receive the beta as an over-the-air update.

It is important to note that this is still beta software, so users should anticipate potential issues such as broken features, battery drain, crashes, or other instabilities.

OnePlus has introduced a new gaming controller for the Ace 6 Ultra, which includes an innovative charging solution intended to improve longer gaming sessions.

The design of OnePlus’ new controller aims to convert a phone into a handheld device, but its standout feature is the open space in the center, which is intended for cooling. OnePlus emphasizes that this is more than just a grip with buttons; it is designed to facilitate heat management and provide better power options simultaneously. The controller boasts four physical buttons, hybrid touch-and-button controls, micro-switch inputs, a 1 kHz polling rate, and a claimed 1.8 ms response time. However, its key selling point is comfort during lengthy use, particularly for gamers who require better hand positioning and want to avoid overheating their device.
