Motorola has just released the Android 17 beta for additional Razr and Edge devices.
More Motorola phones are now eligible to try the Android 17 beta.
Motorola is broadening its Android 17 beta program to encompass a few additional older models. This time, even previous-generation flagship and foldable devices are receiving the invitation.
According to Android Authority, Motorola is granting Android 17 beta access to three more models: the Motorola Razr Plus 2025, Motorola Razr Plus 2024, and the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. In certain markets, the Razr Plus 2024 and 2025 are available as the Razr 50 Ultra and Razr 60 Ultra, respectively. All of these devices are high-end models that are finally gaining access to this latest beta release.
Motorola is including more foldables and flagships in the program.
Motorola is moving away from a limited initial list for the beta. The program is now being expanded to feature two foldables and one flagship smartphone. To recap, the Android 17 beta was first launched by the company in February, initially including the Moto Edge (2025), Moto G57, and Moto G57 Power.
This development followed closely on the heels of Google initiating its updates, and Motorola now appears more willing to broaden access than before. For a brand that has never had the best reputation for prompt Android updates, this change is significant. While this is still beta software, Motorola seems more motivated to demonstrate progress this time around.
How to obtain beta access and where it's available.
Motorola is accepting applications from users in the US, India, Europe, Latin America, and Brazil. This offers decent coverage, making it seem less like a region-specific preview and more like a meaningful opportunity for users eager to test the software ahead of time.
The application process is fairly standard. Users must create an account on Motorola’s official community website, include their phone’s IMEI or serial number in their profile, join the Motorola Feedback Network, and apply through the Beta Testing Opportunities page. Once approved, the beta will be sent as an over-the-air update.
As this is still beta software, users should be prepared for possible issues such as malfunctioning features, battery drain, crashes, or other instabilities.

OnePlus’ gaming controller for phones includes a clever charging feature.
OnePlus’ new controller for the Ace 6 Ultra appears to be another effort to transform a phone into a handheld device, but the innovative aspect lies in the open space in the center. OnePlus indicates that this section is designed for cooling, and promotional images illustrate that the controller is not simply a grip with extra buttons attached. The design intentionally provides room for heat management and more convenient power options.
While OnePlus continues to promote its gaming features, including four physical buttons, a combination of touch and button controls, micro-switch inputs, a 1 kHz polling rate, and a claimed 1.8 ms response time, the more compelling argument is the comfort during extended use, especially for shooters that can be hindered by awkward hand positions and overheating devices.

New leaks have shed light on the situation. Apple’s foldable iPhone rumors have resurfaced, this time focusing less on the design and more on a seemingly missing feature—one that may not actually be absent. Yes, we’re referring to the "missing MagSafe" narrative, which might have been exaggerated.
