Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has finally received a date for its showcase.
The gaming world's least kept secret is finally making an official appearance!
Ubisoft has confirmed a Worldwide Reveal Showcase for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced after numerous rumors and leaks. Initially, the reveal was expected last week, but it has now been rescheduled for this week. Ubisoft has dispelled any speculation surrounding the event.
The presentation is set to air on April 23 at 9 AM PDT / 4 PM UTC / 6 PM CEST on YouTube. In its teaser video, Ubisoft humorously referred to it as “Gaming’s Worst Kept Secret,” a statement that is quite fitting considering the length of time these rumors have been circulating.
What to anticipate during the Black Flag Resynced showcase
The showcase is likely to feature a cinematic trailer, gameplay footage, and an announcement of the release date. Current rumors suggest a launch window of July 9, 2026.
As for the updates in the game, reports indicate the inclusion of new crewmates, quests, enhanced underwater exploration, and new Backstory chapters. Unlike the recent Assassin’s Creed titles, such as Valhalla and Shadows, which emphasized RPG elements and character-driven designs, the remake is said to retain its action-adventure essence. Insider Gaming characterizes it as a “solo adventure and character-driven experience,” which should reassure fans concerned that Black Flag Resynced might stray too far from the qualities that made the original beloved.
What other Assassin’s Creed projects are underway?
Ubisoft also has multiple other projects in development within the franchise. Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe is a darker, narrative-led entry set in a significant historical timeframe. Codename Invictus is a new multiplayer PvP initiative being developed by the team behind For Honor, while Assassin’s Creed Jade is a mobile RPG set in ancient China.
While Wednesday’s showcase will focus on Black Flag Resynced, it’s evident that Ubisoft is actively expanding the franchise across various avenues.
Manisha enjoys covering technology that integrates into daily life, spanning smartphones, apps, gaming, and streaming.
Intel's undisclosed handheld chips may provide AMD with some stiff competition
Recently, two Intel chips designed specifically for handheld gaming were leaked online, hinting at exciting developments ahead. Intel has been quietly working on this project, and the new leak has unveiled the Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme chips, which are anticipated to debut in Q2 2026, potentially transforming the handheld gaming landscape.
Following the announcement of Intel's complete Panther Lake lineup, rumors began circulating regarding two chips that were left out. Originally intended to rival AMD's Ryzen Z2 series, their launch has faced unexplained delays, but one of them has now re-emerged online.
OnePlus’ gaming controller for phones introduces an innovative charging feature
The new accessory not only adds buttons but also enhances the charging and cooling experience during prolonged mobile gaming sessions. OnePlus’ controller for the Ace 6 Ultra aims to transform a smartphone into a handheld device, with a unique open space in the center designed for cooling. The company’s promotional images highlight that this is not just a simple grip with triggers attached, but a thoughtful design that accommodates heat management alongside convenient power options.
While OnePlus promotes its gaming functionality—featuring four physical buttons, hybrid touch-and-button controls, micro-switch inputs, a 1 kHz polling rate, and a claimed 1.8 ms response time—comfort during extended play is the more persuasive selling point, particularly for shooters that penalize awkward hand placements and overheating devices.
Lego Batman appears to be the finest Dark Knight game in years, and anticipation is building
Gamers are definitely excited about this latest installment.
It has been over ten years since Batman: Arkham Knight left players on a rainy Gotham rooftop, pondering the future of Batman games. Unfortunately, in the years since, the genre has felt stagnant.
DC enthusiasts have been trapped in a cycle of “almost there” and “what was that?” since then. Gotham Knights attempted to introduce a Bat-family RPG that ultimately failed to capture the essence of being Batman, while Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League leaned too heavily into live-service elements and lost sight of what made these characters appealing to begin with—resulting in an experience focused on loot, grind, and battle passes, which may work on spreadsheets but not in Gotham.
