You can now purchase physical books through the Spotify app.
Spotify has introduced a feature for purchasing physical books and enhancing audiobook experiences.
If you've ever completed an audiobook and wanted the physical book, Spotify has made it simple. The service now allows users in the U.S. and the U.K. to purchase physical books directly from its app.
How can you buy physical books through the Spotify app?
Spotify has teamed up with Bookshop for this book sales initiative. When browsing an audiobook on the platform, you'll find an option to buy a physical version. Clicking this option will redirect you to Bookshop's website to finalize the purchase.
This means that Spotify doesn't handle payments directly; rather, it serves as a discovery tool that connects users to independent bookstores via Bookshop's network.
The feature is currently available solely for users in the U.S. and the U.K., and functions alongside audiobook listings, allowing for a seamless transition from listening to owning the physical edition.
What other updates are there for Spotify audiobooks?
Spotify is also enhancing its audiobook offerings in other ways. The company has launched Audiobook Charts to showcase popular titles across various genres, giving users insight into trending audiobooks, similar to music charts on the service.
Additionally, Spotify has unveiled the Audiobook Recap feature, which provides brief audio summaries based on your last listening point. This is designed to refresh your memory of the storyline, making it easier to resume without feeling lost.
Earlier this year, Spotify released the Page Match feature, allowing users to scan a physical book page and continue from that point in the audiobook. This feature now includes support for over 30 languages, including French, German, and Swedish.
Why this is significant
Spotify is gradually evolving into a comprehensive source for stories. You can discover titles, listen, switch formats, and purchase the physical book without needing to restart elsewhere. Although it's surprising for a platform primarily known for music, you'll likely find these features valuable once you begin using them.

You can finally eliminate those bothersome YouTube Shorts from your feed.
YouTube has finally provided a solution to stop the endless cycle of Shorts.
To be direct, I find YouTube Shorts unappealing. They not only waste time but also leave you feeling mentally exhausted afterward. Thankfully, with a new update that YouTube is currently rolling out, you can now remove Shorts from your feed.
This feature builds on a previously introduced Shorts timer that allows users to set a daily limit for scrolling, ranging from 15 minutes to two hours. Once you reach your set limit, YouTube prompts you to take a break.

Nothing launched a truly useful app called Warp earlier today, aimed at enabling Android users to share files, links, and copied text with their Mac, Windows, or Linux computers without any cables or complicated workarounds.
The app was announced for Chrome and Edge (Chromium-based browsers) and Android phones, appearing on both the Chrome Web Store and the Google Play Store (as per 9To5Google). However, just a few hours later, the app has disappeared, with the official listings now resulting in errors.

Google has released a new Android Canary build, featuring several UI changes.
Android Canary build 2604 is out, with changes that are minor, subtle, and quite pleasant.
Google has issued Android Canary build 2604 (ZP11.260320.007), which includes a handful of experimental features. A quick reminder: Canary builds are not intended for everyday use; they can be unstable and buggy, and features introduced may not always make it to the final stable version.
If you are a developer wanting to test new builds and stay ahead of changes, Canary is ideal for you. However, for regular Android users, it’s advised to install this on a secondary device rather than your main Android phone.
