Samsung appears to be hastily increasing the prices of its devices. Following a surprising price rise on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, the company has now raised prices across a broader segment of its product lineup. This includes phones, tablets, budget devices, and flagships, with no category left untouched. If you've been saving for a new Samsung tablet, brace yourself for what's next.
No tablet has been spared, unfortunately.
Samsung has increased prices across almost its entire tablet range, and the hikes are significant. The Galaxy Tab S11 series has particularly suffered, with the 256GB model rising from $860 to $1,000 and the 1TB Tab S11 Ultra soaring from $1,620 to an astonishing $1,900. That's a $280 jump for a single storage tier, a considerable amount.

Even the more affordable models haven't escaped the price increases. The Galaxy Tab A11 Plus, intended as an accessible entry point into Samsung's tablets, now costs an additional $50 to $70, depending on the variant. The Tab S10 FE Plus with 256GB has seen a $70 increase. Overall, the message is clear: Samsung tablets now come with noticeably higher price tags than just weeks ago.
Phones aren't exempt either.
A small selection of Samsung phones is included in the price adjustments, such as the Galaxy Z Flip 7 (512GB), Galaxy S25 FE, and Galaxy S25 Edge, each increasing by about $80. The increase for the S25 Edge is somewhat surprising, considering the phone wasn’t exactly selling like hotcakes initially. However, Samsung seems to believe that extracting more profit from each unit is worth the potential dip in demand.

The trend is clear. Devices with greater storage and memory are enduring the most significant price hikes, aligning with industry analysts' warnings over recent months. AI features require ample memory, leading to increased component costs across the industry. Samsung is transferring these costs to consumers, particularly impacting those looking for higher storage options.
Therefore, if a Samsung tablet was already on your purchase list, circumstances have shifted. While some price hikes may be minimal enough to ignore, others are substantial enough to prompt consideration of alternatives. Apple’s iPad lineup, in particular, is now more competitively priced across various tiers. On a positive note, older stock priced before the increases may still be available at third-party retailers for some time. Whether this availability lasts is another matter.
