OnePlus reveals an impressive gaming-focused phone that you probably won't be able to obtain.

OnePlus has a track record of creating smartphones that demand attention, and its latest offering is no exception. The company has unveiled the OnePlus Ace 6 Ultra, a smartphone tailored for gaming that clearly indicates a focus on serious mobile FPS gameplay.
Designed for one purpose: Gaming
The Ace 6 Ultra isn't attempting to cater to everyone’s needs. OnePlus has been clear about the phone's target market, focusing specifically on mobile gamers. The standout feature of this pitch is a 165Hz display developed in collaboration with BOE, calibrated to meet what OnePlus refers to as desktop gaming monitor standards. Time will tell if it lives up to that claim in actual use, but the ambition is evident.

Conversely, subtlety was clearly not a priority here. The Ace 6 Ultra comes in an "Ace Awakening" color scheme that boasts a large, reflective Ace logo prominently placed on the back panel. According to OnePlus, this effect is produced through a 3D laser-etching technique that essentially engraves light into the device, which looks striking in the promotional images.
Internally, the Ace 6 Ultra reportedly features the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, a significant shift from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite in the regular Ace 6. With an estimated 8,500mAh battery and 100W wired charging, this phone appears designed to sustain extended gaming sessions without running out of power. A substantial battery that also charges quickly is precisely what mobile gamers have been seeking, and OnePlus seems to have taken that into account.
However, you might not be able to get it
Here’s the unfortunate part. The Ace 6 Ultra is set to launch in China later this month, but there’s no indication yet if it will be available in global markets. OnePlus has a history of keeping its Ace series primarily within China, with only a few models making it internationally. So unless you’re in China or willing to import, this device may be out of reach for many.
Weibo
OnePlus has also teased a completely new device form factor expected to be introduced alongside the Ace 6 Ultra. For now, details are vague. Whatever it turns out to be, the company seems confident enough to showcase it alongside a phone it clearly views with excitement. That factor alone makes it worth keeping an eye on.

iPhone 18 Pro price leak indicates Apple may have an advantage over competitors
Apple's iPhone 18 Pro could emerge as one of its most formidable tools next year. However, this isn’t because it will have an affordable price point, but rather because rival devices may become even pricier. A Korean leaker has suggested that Apple is confronting increased memory expenses for the iPhone 18 series, particularly for the Pro models, due to rising DRAM and NAND prices as suppliers shift their focus to AI server demands. It’s also rumored that Apple’s next chip will cost more than the previous generation.
