ASUS has introduced its new Zenbook A14 and A16 in the United States, adding two slim and lightweight laptops to its latest Copilot+ PC series, which are based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 platform.
The Zenbook A16 stands out as the flagship model of this new A series, with ASUS promoting it as the fastest laptop powered by Snapdragon on the market. On the other hand, the A14 serves as the more portable alternative, featuring similar specifications and functionalities as its larger counterpart.
Zenbook A16: Superior in size and performance
The new Zenbook A16 is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme processor, providing up to 80 TOPS of neural network processing unit (NNPU) performance. ASUS markets this model as a high-performing Snapdragon laptop, featuring a 16-inch ASUS Lumina OLED display with a 3K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz.
It also includes six speakers, up to 48GB of LPDDR5X RAM, 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, an FHD IR camera, HDMI 2.1, dual USB4 Type-C ports, a USB-A port, a headphone jack, and an SD card reader. ASUS has reintroduced its Ceraluminum design for a premium touch on the Zenbook A16, which has a weight of approximately 2.65 pounds (around 1.2 kg).
This model starts at $1,699.99 in the US, and will be available for purchase at Best Buy and the official ASUS store around mid-Q2 2026.
Zenbook A14: Lighter and more affordable
The Zenbook A14 is the lighter option between the two laptops. ASUS claims it weighs only 2.18 pounds (roughly 0.98 kg) and also utilizes the Snapdragon X2 Elite platform with up to 80 TOPS of NPU performance, promising more than 33 hours of battery life and 50% charge in just 30 minutes. In the US, it is priced starting at $1,349.99 and is currently available through both Best Buy and the ASUS Store.
ASUS emphasizes its Ceraluminum branding for both models, describing it as a proprietary material that blends the feel of ceramic with the strength of aluminum. The company states that this design ethos extends throughout the broader Zenbook range.
