Samsung is finally introducing much-awaited Google Cast support to its older television models.

Samsung is finally responding to a long-awaited request from its users: support for Google Cast is being added not only to its latest TVs but also to select older models. This desired feature will be made available for certain 2023 and 2024 models, and it may even extend to Smart Monitors and other recent Tizen OS devices.
The rollout began subtly when a Reddit user posted a screenshot of their S90D OLED TV receiving a significant One UI Tizen update that includes Google Cast. This is significant for Samsung users who have sought an easier way to stream content from their Android devices. Previously, casting to Samsung TVs was primarily restricted to Galaxy devices through Samsung’s own Smart View feature. Now, Android users—from smartphones and tablets to ChromeOS devices and even the Google Chrome browser—can easily cast images, music, and videos directly to compatible Samsung TVs.
When will this update be available for your TV?
Samsung has not provided a specific timeline for all 2024 models, but the update is anticipated to roll out to more TVs in the upcoming weeks or months, depending on the region and device. If you have been looking forward to effortlessly casting your favorite content from your Android device, your wait might soon be over.

Additionally, the update brings features such as Universal Gestures and a redesigned, more user-friendly home screen. These improvements aim to enhance the navigation and interaction with your TV, making it feel smoother and more intuitive than ever before.
Why this update is significant
Samsung
For Samsung users, this upgrade holds considerable importance. At last, Android users are receiving the convenience they have desired, with devices operating in harmony to enhance the home entertainment experience, making it feel more fluid and somewhat magical. In all honesty, this feature should have been available much sooner, but there are no hard feelings. What truly counts is that Samsung is providing this long-awaited functionality through a software update, and for many users, that alone is worth celebrating.

I just watched The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, here’s why it’s better than the first Mario movie
Let's-a-go! Mario is back and reaching new heights.
Having grown up with the Nintendo Wii, the Super Mario Galaxy video games were among my absolute favorites, so seeing a major film based on them was a dream come true. I had high expectations for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and I can assure fans that this film was created with them in mind. Set after Bowser's defeat (Jack Black) in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, this sequel follows Mario (Chris Pratt), Luigi (Charlie Day), Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy), and Toad (Keegan-Michael Key) as they journey into the cosmos to rescue Princess Rosalina (Brie Larson) from Bowser Jr. (Benny Safdie).
The Super Mario Bros. Movie was far from flawless, but it provided us with an entertaining and faithful representation of some of Nintendo's most iconic heroes. Since the universe and characters were already established, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie ascended even higher as Mario and his friends reach for the stars in an exhilarating adventure filled with enough action, humor, emotion, and Easter eggs to delight gamers.
