Pickmybrain secures $2.1 million in pre-seed funding.

The Tallinn-based platform, previously known as WOIS.io, features more than 1,000 professionals, including Rovio co-founder Peter Vesterbacka and former Netflix CMO Bozoma Saint John. The AI system addresses routine inquiries, while more complex questions are answered by experts through 1:1 asynchronous video calls.

Pickmybrain, the Tallinn-based platform that transforms professionals’ knowledge into AI-driven “Digital Brains,” has secured a $2.1 million pre-seed investment from a group of angel investors, including Garri Zmudze, an early backer of the drug discovery company Insilico Medicine, as well as Raison.app, an investment platform managing $250 million in assets.

Founded by Sergei Verbitski, a serial entrepreneur experienced in AdTech, iGaming, and digital marketing, the company rebranded from its original name, WOIS.io. The platform functions by training AI models based on the structured knowledge of specific experts, utilizing information from interviews, articles, books, and consented recorded responses they provide.

The core of EU tech encompasses recent developments from the EU technology landscape, a narrative from our founder Boris, and some dubious AI artwork. Subscribe now for weekly updates delivered to your inbox for free! The AI swiftly handles routine inquiries in any language, directing more complex or personal questions straight to the expert via 1:1 asynchronous video—a unique combination that the company claims is unmatched by other platforms.

Experts maintain complete control over the data the AI is trained on, and for those who lack a significant digital presence, the platform offers tools to capture original responses for the AI to learn from. Currently, over 1,000 professionals from various fields, including sports, entertainment, and business, are featured on the platform. Notable individuals include Peter Vesterbacka, co-founder and former CMO of Rovio (the Finnish company behind Angry Birds) as well as co-founder of Slush.

Moreover, Paul Pogba, the 2018 World Cup winner who returned to professional football in March 2025 after an 18-month ban for doping—initially four years but reduced on appeal by the Court of Arbitration for Sport—was also served. Bozoma Saint John, who has held CMO or equivalent positions at Netflix, Uber, Apple Music, and Pepsi, is another participant. The platform integrates with wearable technology and offers both paid and free tiers for expert engagement.

The funding will be allocated towards expanding the team, entering new markets, and enhancing the product. Pickmybrain is strategically positioned at the convergence of two rapidly growing trends: the mainstream emergence of AI personas, as demonstrated by Khaby Lame's January 2026 agreement to license his likeness for an AI digital twin in a stock deal worth $975 million; and the increasing demand from professionals for efficient ways to disseminate their expertise at scale without the necessity of becoming full-time content creators.
