Apple's Xcode 26.3 introduces agentic AI from OpenAI and Anthropic, transforming Apple's IDE from merely a helpful assistant to something resembling a junior developer.
Apple has discreetly updated Xcode, its longstanding app development tool, to incorporate AI-driven capabilities that enable agentic coding. In the previous year, the tech giant from Cupertino introduced basic AI features like code completion and suggestions in Xcode 26, but this new update significantly alters the landscape.
Xcode 26.3 features advanced AI agents such as Anthropic’s Claude and OpenAI’s Codex, which can examine your current project, modify settings, seek relevant information, run tests, and interact with previews—all through text-based commands.
Apple’s Xcode now offers direct integration with the Claude Agent SDK, granting developers the full capabilities of Claude Code for building applications on Apple platforms, ranging from the iPhone to Mac to Apple Vision Pro. What is agentic coding?
In simpler terms, the app’s AI is designed not only to assist coders and developers but also to help automate tasks. It achieves this by analyzing the entire program to understand its functions and then translating your text-based commands into pertinent modifications or additions.
So, what issues does agentic coding address? For developers, Xcode 26.3 alleviates the constant challenge of repeating code across projects and aids in debugging by navigating through extensive code lines.
The intention is not to replace programmers but to allow them to delegate the monotonous and tedious aspects of their work to AI (such as debugging, rebuilding, adding specific functionalities, or redesigning sections of code), enabling them to focus on more creative endeavors, manage their time, or even take breaks.
Codex is now featured in Xcode 26.3, helping users tackle complex tasks more independently by breaking down tasks, searching through Apple documentation, exploring file structures, updating settings, and capturing previews during iterations. Apple’s innovative AI strategy
What sets Apple apart is its approach to integrating AI into Xcode. It employs an open Model Context Protocol (MCP), allowing developers to incorporate other compatible agents for increased adaptability.
Currently, Xcode 26.3 with agentic coding is accessible as a release candidate, limited to registered members of the Apple Developer Program (through the developer website). However, a complete public release on the Mac App Store is anticipated soon.

Waiting for memory prices to decrease? Intel CEO warns that shortages are here to stay
The demand for AI is straining memory supply, and Intel does not foresee any improvement until at least 2028.
If you’ve been hoping for a resolution to the global memory shortage this year and for hardware prices to drop, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan has some disappointing news. During a recent conference with Cisco Systems, Tan mentioned that the shortage is likely to persist for at least two more years. Tan referenced insights from two major players in the memory industry who indicated, "There’s no relief until 2028." This timeline aligns with comments from Micron’s VP of Marketing, Christopher Moore, who suggested that tight supply conditions will likely continue into the foreseeable future.

Your wait for Nvidia’s ARM-based laptops might be extended
A recent leak suggests that Nvidia's ARM-powered laptops could launch later than anticipated due to ongoing software issues.
Laptops equipped with Nvidia's ARM-based processors have been long awaited. Speculation around these devices has been ongoing for more than a year, with a recent report suggesting that the initial products could debut as early as Q1 2026. However, a new leak indicates that the release may take longer than expected. According to leaker Moore's Law is Dead (via Notebookcheck), the delay is attributed to unresolved software and compatibility challenges affecting Nvidia
