Samsung Galaxy Book6 laptops feature Intel Ultra 3 series processors and aim to compete with MacBooks.
Samsung has unveiled a new range of laptops in the Galaxy Book6 series at CES, available in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. The company claims these are its most enduring Galaxy Book devices to date, offering up to 30 hours of battery life on a single charge.
A new beginning
The Galaxy Book6 Ultra, Galaxy Book6 Pro, and Galaxy Book6 will be available later this month. A key highlight is the elegant design, featuring symmetrical aesthetics, a two-tone keyboard, and a haptic touch trackpad. Among the models, the Galaxy Book6 Pro boasts a slim profile at just 11.6 millimeters thick.

The Pro and Ultra models come with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display that achieves peak brightness levels of up to 1,000 nits, complemented by an anti-reflective coating. The brightness can drop to as low as 0.0005 nits for true black levels, while the refresh rate can reach up to 120Hz, aligning with the latest MacBook Pro offerings.
In addition to a sleek all-metal look, Samsung has upgraded the thermal management systems in these devices with a revamped vapor chamber and airflow system, thanks to redesigned fans and vents. The latest silicon from Intel and Nvidia powers these laptops.

Samsung
These laptops are among the first to feature Intel’s Core Ultra 3 series processors in the Panther Lake, built on the 18A process node. In terms of graphics, buyers can opt for Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 GPU on the Ultra model, alongside Intel’s Arc on the Pro and base models.
Additionally, Samsung introduces several AI features under the Galaxy AI branding, including AI select, a universal search system, Note Assist, and multi-control for sharing inputs across devices, similar to Apple’s ecosystem.

HP’s OMEN 15 is set to return for CES 2026; should you hold off on purchasing?
A leak indicates new Intel and AMD processors, an RTX 5070 option, and a 3K 120Hz OLED display in an updated 15-inch model.
According to sources cited by Windows Latest, the HP OMEN 15 is expected to be unveiled at CES 2026. If this proves correct, it heralds the return of a line first launched in 2020, refreshed in 2021, and then phased out in 2022 in favor of the OMEN 16. The HP OMEN 15 2026 is anticipated to feature new silicon, an OLED display, and several latency-focused enhancements, without becoming an entirely different laptop.
If you’re in the market now, the pressing question is not just whether the specifications sound appealing, but whether it’s worth waiting for when details on pricing, power limitations, and availability in different regions remain undisclosed.
