WhatsApp is simplifying the process of monitoring your linked Apple Watch.
A new Peripherals section allows you to view connected Apple Watches and their synchronization status.
WhatsApp introduced its watchOS application earlier this year, enabling users to read, reply to, and react to messages from their Apple Watch. Shortly after, the app received a significant update that incorporated support for longer messages, voice notes, call notifications, chat history, and more. Now, the company is working on a new feature that will enable iPhone users to conveniently monitor their connected Apple Watch via their phones.
As reported by WABetaInfo, the latest WhatsApp beta for iOS features a new section for connected peripherals within the Linked devices settings. When an Apple Watch is connected, it will appear in this section, providing details such as device name and connection status. Selecting the watch opens a Device Info page that includes the same information along with instructions on how to unpair the watch.
Currently, there isn’t a specific unpair button, so users must uninstall WhatsApp from their Apple Watch to unpair it. This seems to be a flaw, as it doesn’t allow users to unpair their watch if it gets lost or stolen.
The new Peripherals section is already available for some users.
WABetaInfo mentions that this feature is being rolled out to select users in WhatsApp beta version 25.37.10.71, but it is accessible on at least one of our devices using the latest stable version (2.25.37.76). This indicates that the feature is being gradually deployed to users on both the beta and stable channels, with a complete rollout expected in the coming days. WhatsApp may introduce a dedicated unpair button by the time this feature reaches all users.
Although it may seem like a minor update, the new Peripherals section should simplify the process for users to identify which devices have access to their accounts. Additionally, the Device status section will allow them to check when their Apple Watch last synchronized messages, which can assist in troubleshooting if messages do not appear on their watch.

Samsung's upcoming foldable might provide a more tablet-like experience.
The company seems to be drawing inspiration from Apple’s anticipated foldable design.
Apple is expected to launch its first foldable iPhone next year, with recent leaks indicating that it may differ significantly from Samsung's flagship foldable. Instead of a tall, squarish display like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Apple is reportedly choosing a shorter, wider design. A new report suggests that Samsung could follow a similar direction and introduce a device with an analogous form factor next year.
According to ETNews, Samsung is preparing a "Wide Fold" to rival the iPhone Fold. This device is said to have a 7.6-inch foldable display, which is comparable to the rumored 7.69-inch inner screen of the iPhone Fold. Additionally, its cover screen is expected to be 5.4 inches, slightly larger than the iPhone Fold's 4.75-inch outer screen.

You can now purchase the OnePlus 15 in the US and receive free earbuds if you act quickly.
OnePlus is also offering up to 50% off on accessories, plus an extra 5% discount for students.
If you're looking for a new flagship smartphone and considering OnePlus' latest model, you'll be pleased to know that the OnePlus 15 is now available in the US. It was first introduced in China back in October and made its international debut over a month ago. However, it was unable to be sold in the US due to regulatory issues.
Early last month, OnePlus announced that it couldn’t obtain the necessary device certifications for the OnePlus 15 in time for the international launch, attributing the delays to a government shutdown. At that time, the company stated it was working diligently to finalize all required paperwork and eventually received approval from the FCC late last month.

You might see the first dual 200MP camera smartphones by 2026, but they aren't expected to come from Samsung or Apple.
Leaks suggest that Oppo and Vivo are aiming for dominance in smartphone cameras with some impressive enhancements.
After showcasing its camera capabilities with the recently launched Find X9 Pro, Oppo seems intent on pushing boundaries even further with the upcoming Find X9 Ultra. According to a recent leak, the device may be equipped with an advanced camera system that could compete seriously with offerings from Apple and Samsung.
In a recent Weibo post, tipster Digital Chat Station indicated that the Find X9 Ultra will feature dual 200MP cameras. It’s rumored that the device's 200MP main camera will deliver better low-light performance than a one-inch type sensor, while its 200MP periscope zoom camera could enable higher resolution telephoto images.
