Tekpon has acquired the TNW (The Next Web) brand from The Financial Times.

Tekpon has purchased 100% of the TNW media and events brands, which focus on and unite the European technology ecosystem, from the Financial Times. This deal represents Tekpon's largest investment in the media and events sector to date. It enhances the company's presence in the SaaS and AI fields while reinforcing its position in the global innovation landscape.

The integrity of TNW’s brand and editorial standards will be preserved, and its events and digital platforms will be incorporated into Tekpon's broader strategy. The Financial Times will continue to own and manage TNW Spaces, a vibrant tech hub in Amsterdam that provides private offices and coworking areas for a flourishing community of startups, scale-ups, and innovators.

The latest updates from the EU tech sector, insights from our wise founder Boris, and some dubious AI-generated art will be shared weekly in your inbox for free. Sign up now! Alexandru Stan, Founder and CEO of Tekpon, stated:

TNW is among Europe's most esteemed technology brands. Its heritage, community, and impact have played a significant role in shaping the European tech landscape for nearly two decades. This acquisition propels our goal to link the global SaaS and AI ecosystems and reinforces Europe’s standing in the forthcoming decade of innovation.

Tekpon will start implementing TNW branded initiatives right away. Plans for 2026 include an expanded TNW Conference, new SaaS and AI program tracks developed by Tekpon, cross-regional executive programs, and specialized events for founders, executives, and investors.

This acquisition forms part of Tekpon’s long-term strategy to establish an international ecosystem that connects software, media, events, advisory services, and innovation.
