I examined 7 Galaxy S26 renders; here’s what you should pay attention to.
The Samsung Galaxy S26 is still a few months away, yet that hasn't stopped the rumors from circulating. In today's world of AI-generated art and visuals, several convincing renders of the new phone have emerged.
While some of these appear to be based on insider details, others seem to stem from pure speculation. I've examined a variety of them to determine which might be the most realistic, if not completely accurate.
It's important to mention that aside from minor details, smartphones have become quite similar these days (I still miss the slide-out keyboard), but considering that I haven't seen an S26 (and likely these artists haven't either), here are some renders of the upcoming phone along with my ratings.
Before we begin:
I'm evaluating the overall realism of the render (no sketches, please), in addition to how closely they align with Samsung's recent Galaxy S models and elements from other product lines.
I'm also considering how feasible they would be to manufacture. As much as I'd enjoy a Samsung phone that transforms into a robot, that seems improbable. With that said, let's move on to the renders.
Who are you calling a dummy?
The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is about to be unveiled, and we've got our first glimpse at the dummy models! From camera enhancements to improved battery life and more, here’s everything you need to know: https://t.co/I5biJrKCK1 What are your expectations for the Galaxy S26 Series? This collection of renders purportedly showcases the dummy units for Samsung's latest range, and it indeed looks quite similar to what you would anticipate.
The main distinction from the S25 series is the raised platform surrounding the lenses, which may help prevent dust from entering the sensor. One model (presumably the S26 Ultra) seems to have drawn inspiration from Apple's 'plateau' design seen in this year's iPhones – but we won’t spill the beans.
I’m giving this a solid 8 out of 10 – just bring me some colors! Nevertheless, as a ‘dummy unit’, I wouldn’t be surprised if this closely resembles what we see next year.
Is that an iPhone 5?
Now we’re getting somewhere, with a sleek animated, spinning CAD render that I could watch all day. It displays the Ultra, without the plateau, and initially resembles an iPhone 5 due to its flat edges.
The display appears so close to the top of the frame that it seems almost weightless, and it definitely looks bezel-less, which is expected.
This one gets a 9 out of 10 from me, but seriously, where are the colors? Aside from that minor issue, it feels a tad too streamlined, and I suspect we’ll see some form of plateau on the S26 models.
The Spider-Phone
Richie isn’t impressed with these renders, and they bear a striking resemblance to the ones previously shared by Beebom.
From this perspective, the central device's numerous lenses and sensors evoke the feeling of a staring contest with a spider, and all three appear quite dull in this gray shade.
I’m rating it 7/10 – lacking inspiration and slightly unsettling, making it less likely to represent what we’ll actually see in the final model.
The Note Is Back
There's much to take in with this one from Tech Home. Personally, I appreciate the idea of a raised, glass-protected camera system, although I wonder if additional glass might increase costs or block light, making the sensors work harder.
As some commenters have pointed out, it resembles the Samsung Galaxy Note somewhat, but I'm particularly drawn to the sleek coloring.
It sits somewhere between rose gold and a coppery hue, and I must say, it's appealing to me.
I’m giving it another 8 out of 10, though I wish we could see more of the phone. That glass is likely an added expense, so don’t expect it to appear in the final version.
We’ve Seen That Orange Before…
Here's another entry from OnLeaks. I'm quite fond of this orange color, even if it feels reminiscent of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max released this year.
Still, the edge-to-edge display looks fantastic, particularly with the matching wallpaper hue, suggesting that we'll see that raised platform for the camera lenses.
Will Samsung adopt that orange shade, though? Personally, I prefer the Coral Red from the S25 for something a bit more distinctive.
Not A Bezel In Sight
Wow – that’s my first reaction upon seeing this Galaxy S26 Ultra mock-up from Miror Pro.
The impressive size of the display, devoid of bezels, is astounding – although it’s quite unlikely we'll actually achieve such a sleek appearance (I’d be anxious about dropping it).
Of course, the other side looks as familiar as those on this list, but for its dedication to
