Although May 4 has come and gone, Nvidia is continuing the celebration of Star Wars Day with a giveaway of its premium graphics card — the RTX 5090. Available in two distinct designs, featuring one for Star Wars and another for Star Trek, this coveted and limited-edition GPU is up for grabs, but time is limited to secure it.
“May the Fourth be with you” is a phrase that every Star Wars enthusiast hears daily. A clever twist on the beloved “May the Force be with you,” it commemorates May 4th, which is officially designated as Star Wars Day. This year, Nvidia joined in on the festivities but put an intriguing spin on it: rather than exclusively focusing on Star Wars, Nvidia allowed fans to choose between two fan-favorite franchises.
The company has created two versions of the RTX 5090 for this giveaway. Due to the design of Nvidia’s Founders Edition in the RTX 50-series, there’s limited space on the shroud to celebrate either franchise prominently, yet both cards look impressive nonetheless. One features the classic X-Wing from Star Wars, while the other showcases the Enterprise NCC-1701 from Star Trek.

To enter for a chance to win, simply respond to one of Nvidia’s social media posts explaining your preference for Star Wars or Star Trek, and include #RTXON. Nvidia values the card at $2,750, though it likely has a much higher market value.
There are various terms and conditions, with the most crucial point being that the contest is not available in all locations. Residents of the U.S. from New York, Florida, or Puerto Rico are ineligible to win the GPU. Many other countries are also excluded, and participants must be at least 18 years old.
The giveaway concludes on May 6 at 5 PM PT, so the clock is ticking. While competition is fierce with many participants vying for their chance, it might still be worth a try — you never know. I've entered myself and remain hopeful for a positive outcome.
