EVE: Vanguard will enter early access next summer, but you have the opportunity to play it in September.
CCP
At the 2025 EVE Fanfest, CCP Games announced the upcoming playtest date for the shooter EVE: Vanguard and hinted at the release of the full game through Steam Early Access.
EVE Vanguard is an MMO FPS linked to the well-known game EVE Online, where players take control of warclones who descend onto planets to battle one another, aiming to influence the ongoing war across New Eden's universe. Events within this shooter can affect the happenings in EVE Online, just as events in EVE Online can impact Vanguard.
First hinted at a couple of years ago, EVE Vanguard has undergone several playtests since its announcement. The upcoming one, titled EVE Vanguard: Nemesis, will be the most accessible way to experience the game since its announcement, starting on September 16.
This is all leading up to the early access launch of the game. CCP Games confirmed that they plan to launch EVE Vanguard on Steam Early Access in Summer 2026, with ongoing development to follow.
Additionally, this year's EVE Fanfest revealed the next expansion for EVE Online, named EVE Online: Legion. The most significant addition is Freelance Jobs, which are player-created missions that EVE Online users can assign to each other. The launch is scheduled for May 27. Another MMO, EVE Frontier, is also in development, indicating that the EVE franchise is quite active.
For those specifically interested in the MMO FPS, the EVE Vanguard: Nemesis playtest begins on September 16, as CCP prepares for a full Steam Early Access launch in summer 2026.

Hollow Knight: Silksong is now in a playable condition, but a release date is still pending.
Hollow Knight: Silksong will be available for play on September 18 at the Game Worlds exhibit hosted at the Australian National Museum of Screen Culture in Melbourne, Australia. The exhibit will showcase 30 influential video games. Attendees will have the opportunity to try the game, although it may only be a brief segment. This news raises hopes that the anticipated release in 2025 is legitimate. If the game is set to be playable in September, it's likely already in a workable state now. Four months typically isn't enough time for a developer to implement major changes, but it is possible that only a small part of the game will be presented at the event.
