Mythic Quest has been terminated at Apple TV+, but viewers will receive one final episode.
Apple TV+
After being among the first shows to debut on Apple TV+, Mythic Quest has been canceled following its fourth season, as reported by Variety. The publication also notes that an updated finale episode featuring a new ending will be released on Apple TV+ next week, allowing the show to conclude appropriately. The season 4 finale originally aired on March 26.
“Endings are hard. But after four incredible seasons, ‘Mythic Quest’ is reaching its conclusion,” stated executive producers Megan Ganz, David Hornsby, and Rob McElhenney. “We’re incredibly proud of the show and the universe we created—and eternally grateful to every cast and crew member who dedicated themselves to it. To our fans, thank you for being part of this journey. To our partners at Apple, thank you for believing in the vision from the very start. Because endings are challenging, with Apple’s support, we were able to make one final update to our last episode—so we could say goodbye instead of merely ending with 'game over.'”
The series premiered in February 2020, just months after Apple TV+ launched in November 2019. It has been well received by critics since its debut and was renewed for seasons 3 and 4 back in 2021.
Mythic Quest revolved around the employees of a video game company, focusing on those who work on Mythic Quest, a MMORPG similar to World of Warcraft. In addition to the main series, Mythic Quest produced two standalone episodes, one created during the COVID lockdown and another featuring the core cast returning to the office post-pandemic.
