Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts* | "The Jump" Featurette | In Theaters May 2

To embrace her adventurous side, Florence Pugh leapt from the second-tallest skyscraper globally for Thunderbolts*.

"I adore heights," Pugh expresses in a new Marvel video detailing the exhilarating stunt. To kick off the movie dramatically, Pugh jumped off the Merdeka 118, a 2,227-foot tower in Kuala Lumpur. Initially, director Jake Schreier faced objections from Disney regarding the stunt, a response he deemed "very reasonable." Nevertheless, Pugh's determination to perform the leap ultimately convinced the studio to green-light the scene.

As if jumping off a skyscraper wasn’t enough excitement, Pugh also filmed an explosion scene on the same day as her daring dive, which is prominently featured in the Thunderbolts trailer.

"You realize neither of us will ever experience a day like this in our careers again?" Pugh quipped to Schreier.

Pugh stars in Thunderbolts*, the upcoming Marvel Studios film set to launch the summer blockbuster season. Her character, Yelena Belova, is among the antiheroes forced to team up after being ensnared in a perilous situation by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus). Joining Pugh in the cast are Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker.

Lewis Pullman as Bob/Sentry/The Void and Geraldine Viswanathan as Mel also feature in the film. Schreier directs the project based on a screenplay by Eric Pearson and Joanna Calo.

Many members of the Thunderbolts* cast have already been confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday, including Pugh, Stan, Harbour, John-Kamen, Russell, and Pullman.

Marvel Studios will release Thunderbolts* in theaters on May 2.

Florence Pugh may secure a significant role in Dune: Part Two.

The sequel to Dune is anticipated to commence filming later this year, with a potential addition to the cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Florence Pugh is negotiating to portray Princess Irulan in Dune: Part Two. However, there may be some complications ahead.

The report indicates that Pugh wishes to review the latest script before officially agreeing to the role, which is still being finalized. Moreover, Pugh is being considered to play Madonna in a biopic directed by the iconic singer. If she lands this role, it could interfere with director Denis Villeneuve’s plans to start filming the Dune sequel this summer. Additionally, the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia may pose challenges for Warner Bros. and Legendary in filming close to Hungary, where part of the first movie was shot.

M3GAN is your phone’s most unsettling chatbot yet

Blumhouse and Meta are giving you the opportunity to bypass every movie theater's no-texting policy, as they are launching a new AI chatbot experience called Movie Mate during a new screening of M3GAN on April 30, ahead of the debut of its sequel, M3GAN 2.0. And who better to base the chatbot on than the murderous doll herself?

Variety reported on the announcement of Movie Mate on Wednesday, stating that Meta is collaborating with the horror film studio to "enhance and elevate the 'second screen' viewing experience" by allowing fans to interact with M3GAN and the movie in a deeper way than ever before. Fans attending M3GAN in theaters at the end of this month will be able to communicate with the evil doll by direct messaging the movie's official Instagram account (@M3GAN), granting access to exclusive content, trivia, and behind-the-scenes details during the film. It's reminiscent of those pop-up editions of Disney Channel movies from the 2000s, but instead, it will appear on your phone rather than on the big screen.
