NYT Strands today: clues, spangram, and solutions for Sunday, April 6.
Strands is a newly introduced daily puzzle from the New York Times. It offers a more challenging variation of the traditional word search, requiring sharp observation to solve it. Similar to Wordle, Connections, and the Mini Crossword, Strands can be quite tough on certain days. There's no embarrassment in seeking assistance when needed. If you find yourself stuck and want to know today's Strands answers, refer to the solved puzzle provided below.
**How to play Strands**
In each Strands puzzle, your objective is to uncover the “theme words” concealed within the letter grid. You can manipulate the letters by dragging or tapping them to form words; double-tap the final letter to confirm your choice. When you successfully identify a correct word, its letters will be marked in blue, and they will become unselectable.
If you happen to find a word that isn't a theme word, it's still beneficial! For every three non-theme words you discover that are at least four letters in length, you will receive a hint — one of the letters from the theme words will be revealed, and you will need to unscramble it.
Every letter in the grid is utilized to create the theme words, and there is no overlap; each letter will be used once, and only once.
Each puzzle features one “spangram,” a unique theme word (or words) that encapsulates the puzzle's theme and stretches across two opposite sides of the grid. When you discover the spangram, it will be highlighted in yellow.
The aim should be to complete the puzzle swiftly without relying too heavily on hints.
