TNW Conference reveals its agenda aimed at influencing the future of technology.

For almost twenty years, the TNW Conference has served as a launchpad for groundbreaking advancements in technology. Companies such as Slack, Wise, Bolt, and Trello showcased their innovations on our stage before evolving into global brands. Influential leaders from Google, Meta, and Reddit have also participated, sharing the strategies that fueled their achievements, while notable speakers like Edward Snowden, will.i.am, and Lila Ibrahim have delved into the frontiers of innovation.

On June 19-20, we will return to the iconic NDSM venue in Amsterdam with a refreshed commitment to our original mission: to elevate the startups and scaleups destined to transform the world. Today, we are excited to reveal the next chapter in this journey — our vibrant new agenda for the TNW Conference 2025.

Packed with brilliant minds and daring concepts, the agenda is categorized into three main themes: Next in Tech, Growth & Venture, and Enterprise Innovation. We are also introducing a new installment of the Assembly, an exclusive event for policymakers and business leaders, alongside the return of TECH5 — the “Champions League of Technology.”

Each session and presentation has been meticulously designed to provide tangible value to attendees. Startups, scaleups, investors, corporate innovators, and governments will all discover a range of sessions tailored to enhance their businesses.

To bring this agenda to life, we have curated an impressive roster of speakers. Here’s a glimpse of the lineup:

      - Vidya Peters, CEO of DataSnipper, the Netherlands’ fastest-growing tech firm

      - Jyoti Hirani-Driver, COO of NATO’s DIANA, a new defense tech accelerator for the military alliance

      - Pernilla Sjöholm, a survivor of the “Tinder Swindler” now advocating for fraud awareness

      - Daniel Gebler, co-founder and CTO of Picnic, the top online supermarket in the Netherlands

      - Jeroen van Glabbeek, CEO of CM.com, a global leader in cloud software

      - Ali Niknam, CEO and founder of Bunq, Europe’s second-largest neobank

The dynamic agenda has been carefully crafted by our expert events team, with invaluable input from the TNW Advisory Board of tech leaders, led by Oliviana Bailey, TNW’s Head of Content.

“The global landscape is changing, and European tech founders are leading the charge — both advocating for and challenging Europe to seize the moment,” Oliviana states.

“This year at TNW Conference, I'm eager to hear insights from founders, policymakers, and corporate innovators on how Europe can establish its leadership in deep tech and defense, shaping a more competitive future.”

Prepare for a blend of sharp insights, brilliant minds, bold ideas, and a healthy dose of controversy.

      Let’s explore some key highlights.

      **Next in Tech**

At Next in Tech, an exceptional lineup of innovators and industry leaders will explore the most significant breakthroughs on the horizon. Healthcare specialist Lucien Engelen will raise awareness on employee well-being in "Code Red: Why the Future of Work is the Future of Health." In a lighter vein, viral comedy star Derek Mitchell — creator of @letsdoubledutch — will showcase his sharp humor on stage.

      Other can't-miss sessions include:

      - Quantum Race: Can Europe Secure Leadership in Quantum?

      - The Aftermath: Deepfakes, Disinformation, and Disruption in Democracy

      - Where is Iron Man? Why Tech Needs to be in Defense

      - The AI Revolution in Filmmaking: Are We Ready for What’s Next?

Next in Tech is a highlight for Victoria Slivkof, a TNW Advisory Board member. As Executive Managing Director at program partner Extreme Tech Challenge and Head of Ecosystem at Walden Catalyst Ventures, she closely monitors disruptive innovations. The agenda’s focus on emerging trends in AI instantly caught her attention.

“NVIDIA’s Jensen Huang emphasized that AI can now ‘proceed, reason, plan, and act,’ necessitating significantly more computing power,” she remarks.

“This transition presents both opportunities and challenges for deep tech startups, particularly in semiconductors and AI. These innovators must create solutions that support advanced processing capabilities while addressing energy efficiency and technological sovereignty.”

      **Growth & Venture**

The startup landscape is evolving rapidly. Hence, TNW's Growth & Venture track will reassess conventional investment models and ponder if it's time for a transformation.

Anticipate bold opinions in sessions such as "Off with Their Heads: Death to the VC & Building Smarter Investment Models." Rest assured; actual executions are not scheduled.

European competitiveness will also be an essential discussion topic. We'll examine future growth avenues at "Death of the Unicorn: Can Europe Learn to Love Rapid Growth?" and "The State of European Deep Tech."

A session that’s piqued the interest of Andy Lürling, founding partner at VC firm Lumo Labs and TNW Advisory Board member, is "Getting Over the AI Buzz: Creating Truly Deep Tech Startups."

“I believe we need to leverage smart minds
