3 overlooked Netflix series you should check out this weekend (March 14-16)
Netflix
Netflix's remarkable success as a streaming giant partly stems from its knack for continually introducing subscribers to fresh content. The feeling that there's always something available to watch is fantastic. However, this comes at the cost of many titles possibly never appearing in your recommendation feed. If you're searching for an excellent show to dive into this weekend, we’ve compiled three Netflix series that are unlikely to surface for you organically. We also have guides to the top movies on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Max, and Disney+.
**Bloodline (2015-2017)**
As one of Netflix's early standout series, *Bloodline* chronicles a Florida family whose hidden secrets begin to surface, resulting in a series of crises. This show is particularly notable for Ben Mendelsohn's outstanding supporting performance as the family's troubled brother. Leading the cast is Kyle Chandler, who delivers a performance worthy of one of TV's finest. Spanning three seasons, *Bloodline* offers plenty of intrigue and successfully concludes its narrative before it becomes overly convoluted. You can watch *Bloodline* on Netflix.
**Heels (2021-2023)**
Featuring Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig as two brothers competing for their father's wrestling legacy while clashing in the ring, *Heels* is a wrestling drama that focuses on those who aren't in the spotlight. Like many contemporary wrestling shows, *Heels* recognizes the myriad compelling stories behind the scenes in professional wrestling. Amell and Ludwig deliver dedicated, physically engaging performances, and the series grows increasingly captivating as it broadens its story’s scope. You can watch *Heels* on Netflix.
**Warrior (2019-2023)**
Set in San Francisco's Chinatown during the latter half of the 19th century, *Warrior* centers on a vicious gang war and the martial arts master entangled in it. Inspired by Bruce Lee's writings, it takes its time revealing the central character's motivations while including plenty of action to keep viewers hooked. The show's predominantly Asian cast feels groundbreaking, as does the intricate detail of recreating an unrecognizable San Francisco. Although *Warrior* received critical acclaim, it struggled to garner a wide viewership. Hopefully, it will find the audience it deserves now that it's available on Netflix. You can watch *Warrior* on Netflix.

If you only watch one Hulu show this March, make it this one.
Over the past 15 years, streaming has emerged as a primary means of consuming entertainment in the U.S., leading to an overwhelming amount of content. Navigating through Hulu for a worthwhile TV show can result in spending more time scrolling than actually watching. *Paradise* is an excellent starting point for anyone seeking a captivating new series that isn't too overwhelming. This eight-episode series follows a secret service agent investigating the president's death amidst unfolding mysteries. Here are three reasons why *Paradise* is worth checking out.
It has enough twists to keep you engaged
*Paradise* features several significant reveals that are best discovered while watching. Written by Dan Fogelman, known for the twist-heavy *This Is Us*, *Paradise* skillfully dispenses surprises without feeling overly contrived.
**3 underrated shows on Amazon Prime Video you need to watch in March 2025**
Amazon Prime Video boasts a diverse array of TV shows, although the lineup is constantly evolving. New titles, including Amazon Originals, are frequently added while others depart as licensing agreements expire. One constant, though, is the extensive and exciting selection available. Currently, there are three underrated shows on Amazon Prime Video worth your attention in March 2025, all of which are Amazon Originals. One is new, one received high praise but perhaps didn’t gain the attention it warranted, and the other is set to return soon for a new season.
If you need further recommendations, explore our guides to the best new shows to stream this week as well as the best offerings on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, Max, and Disney+.
**High School (2022)**
*High School* isn’t underrated due to a lack of positive reception; it actually boasts a perfect 100% critical score on Rotten Tomatoes alongside a 94% audience score. However, it’s one of those shows that many may not have even heard of. Based on the memoir of the same name by Clea DuVall and Tegan and Sara Quin (of the popular duo Tegan And Sara), it offers a delightful throwback to the music and style culture of the ’90s, filled with grunge and rave influences. As the characters (Railey and Seazynn Gilliland) grapple with typical teenage struggles, including identity and first loves, they also explore their deep passion for music. *High School* has been acclaimed by *Rolling Stone
