The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is one of the most eagerly awaited devices of the year and serves as the final entry in the S25 series. Now, we have what may be the most precise render of the device so far. Shared by Ice Universe, the render displays a phone with bezels similar to those found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but with a slightly smaller screen.

Regrettably, the image shows only the front of the device. Without a view of the back, we cannot verify other specifications, such as the rumored 200MP camera.

The detailed rendering of the S25 Edge reveals that it has a screen size of 6.656 inches, with bezels matching the narrower design of the S25 Ultra, rather than the S25+. pic.twitter.com/XHFwVGWe4P

The Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a 6.656-inch screen, comparable to the Galaxy S25 Plus and smaller than the 6.9-inch display of the S25 Ultra. However, the appeal of the S25 Edge is not solely its screen size, but rather its slimness. Ice Universe has also indicated that the device will have a thickness of just 5.84mm.

The source states that its price will be similar to the Galaxy S25 Plus, starting at about $1,100, based on current market rates. Ice Universe has a reliable history of accurate predictions, but until Samsung officially releases this information, things could change. Nonetheless, what we are seeing aligns with early leaks concerning the phone.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is anticipated to launch in the second quarter of the year. Some speculation suggests that Samsung could hold an event on April 16 to unveil the phone, with a purchasing date set for May.

Unfortunately, it appears that the slim design comes with a compromise. Many leaks have indicated it will only include a 3,900mAh battery, which is significantly lower than the 4,000mAh of the standard Galaxy S25 and the 4,900mAh of the Galaxy S25 Plus. Unless the S25 Edge offers superior specifications in another area, its slim profile might not be sufficient to sway consumers to choose it over the S25 Plus.

Why the least exciting Galaxy S25 model is the one you should consider

Following my review of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, I immediately transitioned to using the Galaxy S25 Plus. I welcomed the opportunity to use the device I had identified as the best during my hands-on experience and was eager to confirm my initial impressions. I’m pleased to report that my instincts were correct, though I didn’t expect to find the phone somewhat unexciting. However, this review won’t be a critique; I appreciate it for being mundane.

Mundane doesn’t equate to poor quality

The reviewed Galaxy S25 Plus comes in a pleasing navy color, which is subtly attractive compared to the basic black model. I would describe it as understated. As I suspected, the edges of the chassis are less pronounced than those of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which aligns better with my use of the phone, making it less tiring to hold. Its slim and lightweight build has also made it effortless to carry in my pocket.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 leak reveals an outdated design in a sleeker shell

Samsung is currently experiencing a phase of stagnation in smartphone innovation. Competitors like Huawei Mate XT, Oppo Find N5, and Honor Magic V3 have pushed the boundaries with striking designs and impressive hardware. However, it seems that a shift in strategy for Samsung may finally emerge this year.

Leakster OnLeaks (via Android Headlines) has released purported product renders and a video showcasing the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is anticipated to have a global launch in the latter half of 2025. The fundamental design remains familiar, but the side profile appears noticeably thinner compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

How effective is the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s new ultra-wide camera? I conducted a test to find out

Samsung’s approach to the camera in its Ultra models has concentrated on gradual advancements, introducing subtle improvements with each iteration. Last year's Galaxy S24 Ultra saw a switch to a 50MP sensor with 5x optical zoom for the secondary telephoto lens. This increase in resolution and pixel count through pixel binning enhanced zoom quality over the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 10x zoom, despite a shorter optical zoom range. The Galaxy S25 Ultra also contains the 200MP main camera that first appeared in the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
