Post Trauma reveals a chilling new trailer, along with its release date and a demo available during Steam Next Fest.

The horror game Post Trauma has just unveiled a chilling new trailer, available exclusively on Digital Trends. This video confirms that Raw Fury’s latest horror title will be released on March 31 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Post Trauma, developed by Red Soul Games, is a survival horror experience inspired by Silent Hill, prioritizing psychological fear and intricate puzzles. The game was first announced during the 2022 Game Awards and originally slated for an October 2024 launch, but it has since been delayed to 2025. Now, Raw Fury is promoting it in advance of its upcoming release.

The new trailer features a series of unsettling images, showcasing dimly lit train yards, grotesque monsters, and classic shotgun action, all rendered using Unreal Engine 5. If you're wondering what it's about, the plot centers around Roman, a train conductor voiced by Togo Igawa, who becomes trapped in a bizarre alternate dimension. The voice cast also includes Autumn Ivy and Hyoie O’Grady.

Starting today, players can experience Post Trauma with a new demo available during the Steam Next Fest, running until March 3. If you enjoy the demo, you can add it to your Steam wishlist.

Digital Trends recently tried out the Post Trauma demo prior to today's launch. Our experience revealed that the game remained faithful to its Silent Hill inspirations, featuring fixed camera angles, eerie settings, and challenging puzzles that encourage notetaking. While action takes a back seat, there are still plenty of grotesque creatures to confront with crowbars. It appears to be a classic survival horror experience that pays homage to the genre’s history without leaning too heavily into nostalgia.

Post Trauma is set to launch on March 31 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

In the wake of several fantastic video game showcases, the latest Steam Next Fest has commenced. Running from June 10 to June 17, this event on the Steam platform allows indie developers and publishers to present limited-time demos of their upcoming games, enabling players to discover promising titles in the indie realm. This event serves as a reminder of the industry's creativity in a year when many companies seem to prioritize profits over passion.

With hundreds of demos available at this year’s Steam Next Fest, it can be challenging to find the most enjoyable titles. I had the chance to play many of these demos in the weeks leading up to the event. From idle sandbox games to visually appealing Metroidvanias, here are the standout indie games from June 2024’s Steam Next Fest that are worth trying for free this week.

During the June 2024 Xbox Games Showcase, Undead Labs revealed a new trailer for State of Decay 3. Although the trailer did not announce a release date, it showcased new gameplay. The studio has also unveiled a new logo, signifying its evolution from an indie studio to an Xbox studio.

The trailer presents a barren world filled with zombies and features third-person shooter gameplay. The atmosphere is more fantastical and supernatural, with vibrant red tones, reminiscent of Redfall rather than the more realistic tones of games like The Last of Us or Days Gone.

Post Trauma, inspired by Silent Hill, aims to frighten players this fall.
